BEEN WORKING ON THE BOAT SIDES, i trimmed the 2x8 tubing at the front and boxed in everything. i formed the rear lower porting of the side to match the rail. and closed in the rear. its not exactly where i want it but i may just live with it....

boatsides are done!!! well i still have the inside floor to do, and trim the lower part of the door and fender with 1" angle, but its starting to look like a truck again and not scrap yard bound. i read these were time extensive, and that it is, i almost regretted cutting it up but now its a rust free truck...

and in with the motor, to bad my harmonic balancer hits the frame crossmember.... guess the moroso mounts set a tad lower, not big problem but i could have done with out it..

well the solid motor mounts caused a problem between the engine cross member and the balancer, so i have a ORD cross member coming. i finished the passenger door and fender with the angle iron. and the boat sides are ready for some primer in case it needs to be outside. i was going to buy a propane kit but have decided to just run the quadrajet and put the money into a great bender. not the small one i started with. considering the say no .120 wall tubing allowed. the doublers next to go in, so we will see what surprise comes with that....

well iam waiting on a few item to arrive, so i moved to getting the doubler ready to fit the sm465. i was surprised how well using the floor jack worked getting the cases up in the truck..... until the floor got in the way. so ill have to do some cutting and "fab" work to gain some clearance.

want a good jd2 dealer? http://www.metalbythefoot.com/

www.metalbythefoot.com. i ordered it monday he said 5 to 7 days. the bender showed up tuesday and the die showed wed. $755 to the door

well i have been using the bender some and started on my transmission/transfer case mounts. this is just the first stage of the crossmember. its has tabs that bolt to the 203/205 adaptor and i cut out a pto plate and used tabs to help support the 205. i have cut a massive amount of floor out to get everything up inside the frame rails. plans to do a belly pan of some sort. my fab skills are lacking but iam trying like hell...

THIS IS ALL THAT CAN BEE SEEN FROM THE SIDE

THE FRAME RAILS ARE WAY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER. THAT MADE THINGS A MAJOR PAIN IN THE ASS
