After 3 or 4 brim in less than 10 minutes with worms and a cane pole, Turd Ferguson Jr caught the biggest fish we've ever caught up here at Hyco Lake.

And Turd Ferguson Jr the 3rd also caught his first fish today, but before I could get a pic, it "bit" him and he ran away crying

Had the chance Saturday once the rain broke to go check and respray where this years plot will go. Every time I disc up there it just pulls more rock to the surface so I’m going to give the throw and mow method a try. The thatch is pretty thick as is so I’ll lightly drag it in a week or two. Labor Day weekend a blend of triticale, sorghum and clover will go down and I’ll mow over it to drop fresh thatch just before it rains again.

There is a guy that takes charters out on Mtn Island Lake. Business name is Gartarded Bowfishing, you can find him on FB. I've never gone or know anyone that has with him but I've seen his boat/setup out on the water and it looks legit. I would assume he would go to LKN as well. I know there are gar in the river between the two lakes as I've caught a few from the kayak.

Not sure if this is the right place for this but anyone have a shop recommendations in the Weaverville Asheville area to have a Mathews Halon 32 restrung and tuned?

Coopers trading in Burnsville or Tagged out in sylva. Only two real bow shops around. Coopers stays packed. FYI took me two weeks to get strings in when I had mine replaced this year

Pay for the string replacement.
Then buy the few tools and google tuning.
You know how you shoot .... the shop don't.
Then learn how to fletch your own arrows.
Back in the day .... this took my 40 yard group from 6" to 2" with an occasional stray out at 3".
The big thing with fletching is have arrows identical .... the only way is DIY or always go to the same shop.

Yep I have the shop make sure everything is in time. Then I'll paper tune my bow out to 30 yards bare shaft then fletch then tune every single arrow. It takes ALOT of time and fine tuning but once its done you can stack arrows on each other all day long

There ought to be a guy down in Fletcher. (you're welcome, I'll be here all week :D)
