Always wanted a bolt action shotgun. There was one sold here a while back, but didn't have the cash at the time.I've a JC a Higgins Bolt 20 g. That at cut my teeth on doves and tree rats in the 70s...View attachment 411776

I don't have one.Well, munchkin has started begging to go turkey hunting now. Ordered him a Carlsons turkey choke for my 870 youth and we will go get him some tags. Now to find a bipod.
Whats everyone's setup for thunder chickens this year?
If you can find the time, I've got a setup. Can't guarantee we get on any birds, but we can definitely try!I don't have one.
For years I've wanted to try my hand at turkey hunting. And for years I've never managed to have the time.
Maybe next year?
In other news, April 1st is the first day to put in for Maine Moose.
Now that I own a .45-70, I'm ready to be drawn.
You're only about an hour and a half away!If you can find the time, I've got a setup. Can't guarantee we get on any birds, but we can definitely try!
Not sure exactly where you are, but I hunt a pretty broad area. I hunt all along the yadkin river, from kerr Scott down to tuckertown on public. Also not opposed to running up in the mountains. Like I said no guarantees we see a bird, but we will have a good time. You're only about an hour and a half away!
Is now a bad time to admit that I only own one shotgun, and it's a Mossberg 590A1? (I really know jack about shotguns, I just have this one from when I used to shoot in 3-gun competitions.)
