NC4X4 Hunting and Fishing

They are starting to drop. Must be the colder weather stressing them?

Pretty good deal for any of you guys looking for a full tree saddle setup. Seems like I remember @JSJJ388 mentioning it a while back.

Not s bad deal. If I wasn't trying to buy a motorcycle like this week lol. If that's still up by payday....

Today was our last day of woodcock hunting this year. We got to hunt with some new friends. We ended up moving 5 before they left.
Took the girls out and we found 1 more, all was good until we all took a swim and learned a few lessons.

Don't trust the log
The creek is ALWAYS deeper than it looks
Don't trust ice in the south

Who's gearing up for thunder chickens? Went with a couple folks last year, would love to link up and go with some new people too.

Found this 5 pin sight on clearance at the wally world for half off. My Destroyer had a 5 pin, but I wasn't a fan on that bow. But my ground hunting/turkey bow is a little slower (easier draw) and should have more pin gap. Hard not to try it our and 20 bucks.

Name checks out. Looks like the hunters helped your kid.
He did donate 300 dollars in tickets. His companions wives spread them out and places them in the boxes. Heck even the cooler is full of stuff.

Too many pins IMHO. Iirc , I use 3. I had 4 and it was too crowded. Low light all I could see was pins in my peep. Dropped one all the way to the bottom and the top pin works for up to 20yds. Im not shooting at an animal over 40 so 3 pins works well for me. Ymmv

I use a single pin on my main bow. My plan is set it up for 20, 25, 30, 35, 40. I had a 3 pin on this bow, but had trouble gap shooting. Worst case, I don't like it and run the single pin or make this one 3 pin.

Made a loop looking for grouse today. No dice.
Looks like they should be in the area in the early season lots of wild grapes

Hadn't really thought about them until this morning. I counted 18 before they got mixed up. They roosted on the edge of my field last night and were flying down as I left for work this morning. Just stopped in the middle of the road and watched them for a few minutes.
