Not sponsored by NC4X4, just inviting everyone from here to come. I know lots of folks have time off from work and school. Christmas stuff should be over, so let's go out and ride.
Bring your rig, your best lies, beverage of choice and let's have a some fun to end the year.

Probably be cold, so bring your electric blankets, heaters and so on. Would be nice if someone brought a chain saw, a lot of wood up there just needs to be cut.

Post up if you want to come so we can see who will be there.

My plan is to go up early Friday Morning.

Also, for those who have not been there, I hope to get a couple of volunteers to act as trail guides.

One last thing, I am gonna be using this as a coat/blanket drive for the needy, so any unused coats and blankets in decent shape, bring them, I will get them to the right people to distribute them to keep some folks warmer in coming months.

Im gonna try to make this. If i can get my ammo can heater going by then.

Wish I could,

but I think I sold my axles making way for the tons!!

I am in for sure and can bring a saw. Let me know when you are leaving Chip and we can hook up. There might be a few of the NC Jeeperz crowd heading up there as well. :driver:

NC Jeeperz are more than welcome. Remind them of the coat and blanket drive!

I will make sure they know about the coat drive:beer: As for the drive up, I ain't in no hurry :driver:

From where I live I go up 221 out of Marion. You may prefer 321 to Boone, but the road is real rough these days unless it has improved a lot in the last while. At any rate, head to Boone. When you get to Boone by way of 321 stay on 321N until you have to turn right or left. Turn left, that will be 321N/421N Stay on 421N until you get into Mountain City TN which is about 30 mins or so. Look for Hardee's and McDonanlds. Hardee's is on your left, McDonalds is on the right, just past that is a Burger King on the right, turn Right after Burger King. Go approximately a mile and a half and you will see a sign for Callalantee ATV park. turn right there. You will go a short distance on a narrow residential road. Go slow as this is a neighborhood. You will see a sign for the park on the right, turn in there. The pay station is just inside on the left.

A buddy and I are planning on heading up there that weekend, getting there either friday or saturday. We have been up there once and had a great time.

Might be down for this. Should have the buggy all shined up and put back together.

I'd love to even just for the day.
... but I doubt I will have my front axle fixed by then.
I went up there last weekend with Houdini and learned I need a nice fat skid plate up front. I lost front wheel drive somewhere on welder. The rear locker saved my ass especially since we were way out on Skyline finding our way around in some sleet/snow when I finally realized the front wasn't turning.

I'll tell you though it was a blast in the snow.
Calla really is a nice park.

And X2 on the chainsaw... there are a few trails I saw that need a little 'help' clearing or maybe they're blocked for a reason.
BTW - My 2cents: half of the trails you see out there are not on the map and half the one's on the map aren't where they say they are.
You should take Both maps ONE and TWO
Thanks oljeeps for keeping those up.

I realy would love to run this with you all but my jeep is stock all but the 2.5 lift and 34 tires ive been there alot i love it. i live in boone
