:shaking:Thats not right you guys!

Todd is clearly in denial mode cause' I could drive a stock golf cart through the trails better than he can drive a built truck.:flipoff2:

well hell since I am going to be around and the Jeep never gets used anymore, my plans are to be there early Fri to ride in the cold and hopefully the snow.

Fred

ill be up there in a 88 red xj locked front and rear , and hoping my freind with his samuri can make it. hes got 31s and locked front and rear. ill prob be coming up sat morning.

It's look like we won't make it, still up in the air though. Have to get through this weekend first. If we do, we will be heading up Christmas day after the festivities.

never been up there. does it cost anything. i'd be driving from jacksonville nc. is it worth it?

$11. It's entirely different than the terrain you would see down east, but it would be a long haul for you. There's a campground, at least one rental cabin on the property and several other hotels/campgrounds in Mtn City or in Boone.

As said, it's $11 to ride, and I think $10 to tent camp, if using hook up(water or electric) It's $15 a night.

Some definite good riding, good obstacles, well worth the drive. I don't know that I would try that distance just for the day.
Check out my pic link to see some of what it has to offer

I would like to wheel Saturday if there is going to be a group of mildly built rigs that I can join in with. I've never been before. I would be bringing my Samurai on 32" tires, no lockers, and no winch, but I've got a good strap, lol.

I've got two chainsaws I can bring as well if needed.

I'm sure ther will be someone you can ride with. If not you can always take the bypasses around the hard stuff and just watch the others.:driver:

Hmmm all depends, just how much firewood can that Zuk haul??:flipoff2:

Sure come on up, just get in a line with a winch in front of ya and one be hind you. Plenty of by-passes up there.

There will be mild rigs there. My rig will only be on 33's as are a couple of others that are supposed to make it including a TJ on 33's with open diffs. And he has a winch  I hope to run some of the other trails as I have only been on the waterfall and the trail going to pull cable. As long as you mind getting lost

I don't mind getting lost as long as I am not alone, lol. For those of us coming up Saturday morning to ride for the day, what time should we make sure to be there so as not to get left?

My buddy and I are planning on getting there around lunch time or so on friday. Ill be in my trooper and he will be in a locked cherokee on 37s. Only been there once so we know where the waterfall is, easy out, pull cable, and little telico. Hoping to see more of the other obsticals they have out there.

there will be two of us comming in fri around lunch time. A nissan pulling a green tj and a dodge pulling an inclosed trailer. would love to tag along with some people if possible.

any snow in the forcast?

Fred
