I saw a Dodge ram diesel pulling a Hudson gooseneck with a white toyota pickup on 42's yesterday. Didn't have a bed on the yota. Left out of Concord/Harrisburg area and was heading toward Mt. Pleasant on 49. Anyones here.

I saw a lifted red JK on what looked like 35's this morning (~7:40 AM). Location of sighting was on I40 around exit 145 in Burlington. I gave him the thumbs-up. Just wondered if it was anyone on here. I was driving the Ram SRT-10. :driver:

anyone on here go to state and have a lifted red yj on bfg/ats, a highlift on the hood, parked at campus crossings appts? cuz if you do, you're in my normal parking spot :flipoff2:

I am guessing I passed jrraw23 about an hour ago on South Blvd on my way to GMAC's shop. I recognized "The Beast" and the "Beast Inc" stickers.

Also ran into RufusTheRam on New Years Eve at Dixie's Tavern.

Are you from Tarboro? I was working on a house over there, and the house behind the house i worked on, had a triple axle gooseneck, with a green jeep nearly identical to yours parked in the driveway. I never saw any towrig/DD though, just the jeep and gooseneck.

i saw a guy the other day in what looked like a green spray painted xj on tryon near lake wheeler road. it was lifted on a set of maybe 35-36" boggers and it looked to have some serious rock rash. just wondering if it was anyone on here?

Green Jeep and truck live in MD, the little itty bitty whiteish Jeep there is mine, I'm in Chapel Hill.

Saw a few of the BDB guys at Wendy's in Boone tonight.

Talked to lbyota85 for just a second. Knew you guys were probably pretty hungry so I didnt wanna get in a huge conversation.

Yea, we had quite a fiasco in the woods earlier.:poop:

Seemed like something was up...hope you guys were all okay.

And feel honored. If you remember what I looked like, you could be only the second person on the board besides David Minton who has actually met me.

what happened?

Well, we did all the usual stuff no problem other than Drew(WARRIOR WELDING) popping an axle u-joint at top of the world. So we remembered that firetoy and crew cleared out the creek on past the exit on armor all and we decided to give it a try. Let me start off by saying that you should scout a little before you just dive in as there is no where to turn around. We(me, andyxj, and Matt in the blue sammi buggy) started up the creek at about 4:30 while Drew went back to the camp to work on the axle and a steering issue. Another thing DO NOT try this trail with out a winch, a GOOD spotter, and a WELL built rig. Just imagine pull cable rock garden in in the middle of a creek. We were making good time till we came to a 4' ledge that I had to winch across and proceeded to winch the rest across(they have no winches). By this time it was starting to get dark, and it just got worse from there so we got to a clearing and Matt and Andy got turned around and started to go back down the ledge. Now the real fun starts, as Matt dropped off the ledge a nice pointy rock hit the front pinion yoke and snapped clean off with the pinion still attached( :poop: ) so the remainder of the pinion slid into the carrier and locked up the front end, and to beat it all he was running drive flanges so we couldn't just unlock the hubs. We finally got the flanges out with a BFH and a crow bar so it would roll. By this time it was pitch black dark and we had a buggy hanging off the ledge with only 2WD. We all wondered how the devil we were going to get this thing out of Gods forgotten land scape with no winch and 2WD. We finally got my truck the rest of the way out of the trail and I came back around to armor all and we took my winch(it being multi mount) and carried it up to where he was and slid it into hes front receiver and hooked up my jumper cables which have the plug on one end and proceeded to winch out like that. We finally got back to camp at about 9:30 to see Drew still waiting on us. So we got loaded up and hit the road. Just the way it goes some times.

Yea, we made it out ok, just wore slap out and hungry. Its good putting a name to a face.

It was quite a night; had me wondering if we were going to be camping where we were but the flashlights and headlights got us by. Landon's poor winch had quite a workout :shaking:

BTW, that whole freaking trail is either surrounded by a cluster of overturned saplings, covering ankle-breaking holes, or a nice-knit brier patch. This made for some interesting situations with next to zero visibility.

Luckily, I escaped with only a bent tie-rod, and some wet socks.
Moral: Look before you leap

Other than that, great trip! Might have some new footage up of it pretty soon.

Yep, he always has them in the z71.

Thats just how he rolls.
