NC4x4 v4.0

ForumRunner isn't working either, says forum software plugin being out of date or having a conflict
 
I just finished installing Tapatalk. Working on Forumrunner now.

Edit: Forumrunner should be installed now.
 
Avatars are blurry. and is the software or my screen...i have to scroll right to see all of the words.
 
I completly respect the work youve done as i know it takes a lot of skill patience and time..........but i like the old forum better....ive had to log in 2or 3 times now since 11. Also its just not manly....sure i know that there are females on the forum but its a FOUR WHEEL DRIVE FORUM....aka masculine stuff.....it just doesnt look that way. When i signed up way back when this was my first forum ever....and i have always based my opinions of other forums on this one. I have tried a lot of others but the layout and userbility of them wasnt up to par with nc4x4......and they looked feminine, so i didnt use them. Granted i wont stop using this forum....but if it was like this way back when i signed up, i might not be here today.
 
guys...calm down. Remember when the layout was redone last time and everyone freaked out. lol....and now we are saying we want that layout back. Its not worse...its just new. give it some time.

It will take a few days to get things ironed out, and maybe change a few things to make thems work better.

CONSTRUCTIVE critisizim will go much further than bitching !

It can't be perfect out of the box, too many variables, and a lot has to do with the settings YOU are using on your viewing platform.

Shawn's busted his ass getting things where they are now, help a brother out and at least show a little appreciation.
 
One thing that might help is better labeling of the stickies.

I do like how my avatar shows up in the bottom corner of the thread starters avater showing me that I have posted in a thread.
 
any way to bold the lines between posts? For guys with out signatures, sometimes it looks like their posts run into the next one down. A little confusing.

Oh cool, just noticed that you can see the threads youve posted in, your avatar shows up.
 
I like the "what's new" button's "what members have been up to" feature but dont like having 49 pages of unread posts. I liked how the old "new posts" just showed new posts not every single post I didnt read since the dawn of time.

Maybe i was a bit harsh with what i said, but i still really respect the work done. I do like the alerts deal and where it shows your avatar on the threads youve posted in. Hard to distinguish the stickies from the first actual thread. Hard to read on my phone tho
 
Yeah, there are still lots of bugs to work out.... I've spent a lot of time getting the "look" to be similar to what we had before, but I'm still not happy with it. Diamonds are coming. I've got to write a little script to make them show up. Not a big deal, just takes time. I think the avatars were 100px on the old forum, this one is stretching them to 120px, so they look blurry. That should be fixable. For the new posts thing to work 'correctly', it helps if you click the 'mark forums read' button once in a while. It'll assume you've read it after... 14 days or something... but in meantime, you'll get a million pages worth of 'new' stuff.

I'm wondering if part of the problem with Tapatalk and Forum Runner is because the location of the forum has moved. If you've got a bookmark or something (out on a limb here, b/c I have no idea how they actually work), try going back and either searching for the forum in their directory, or maybe browsing to the forum and see if the tapatalk/forumrunner notification pops up. Both programs have a tool where I can check to see if the forum is "up", and both check out as good.

So what needs to be done to get the screen the correct size?(to keep from scrolling right) ...and I know I've been in the brew today but I'm wearin my glasses and everyones avitars are blurry,.....PBR doesn't normally have that affect until after 11pm, lemme know if its jus me;) Otherwise, thanks for the effort Shawn:beer:
 
Please add "Sticky" next to the stickied threads. Unless it's there and I'm not seeing it?

I removed nc4x4 from my favorites on tapatalked and reloaded it. Its working just fine now. Guess you we're right. :rolleyes:
