Newbie posting in the right spot this time
05' LJ 2.5" HD OME, 32x11.5x15 Cooper Discoverer STT's on stock ravines w/ 1.25" Spidertrax spacers, JKS Quicker disco's, Body Armor rails, Rough Country adjustable front lower control arms, Rock Hard rear bumper/tire carrier, Skid Row trans/oil pan skid.
My family and I moved here (Winston Salem) a few months ago and I’m finally getting around to making the time to get the Jeep dirty again. We moved here from Lake Charles Louisiana in January and we are happy to get away from the stinky swamp mud, sick humidity, crow sized mosquitoes and see some elevation higher than 15ft. I guess you could say I’m just happy to be here.
I’m looking forward to getting out to Uwharrie soon. I’m off work on Sun/Mon so hopefully I’ll get a chance to meet some of you on those days. I just replaced my 32” Cooper STT’s with some 33” Dick Cepek Mud Country’s and I’m working on some additional clearance. I Have some spring spacers I started to install but I’m still a rooky wrencher and I realized I was getting in above my skill and comfort level. I did manage to install the Skid Plate so I guess that’s something. If anyone could direct me to a shop with reasonable prices I’d appreciate it. I called Tom’s Off-road and Kelly’s Bar’s and Grill’s but they want $300 plus alignment. I can’t quite grasp the idea of paying $300 plus for installing a $60 part. If I can’t find something a little more reasonable I’ll give it a shot again. Thanks in advance for any input.
I'll post some pics when I figure it out. I thought I could attach it in the post.
