Moving down from MA on November 1

I am moving down to the Greensboro area on November 1.
Can't move before I see if the SOX win Number 3.
My co-worker up here think I'll fit right in because I already have the big mud tire and lift on my Jeep and a rack full of country music.
I'll be looking for places to go wheelin' legally and safely enough so my kids don't have to step out and watch from a safe distance.
I'm guessing it will take a few weeks after we get down there before I'll have time for fun unless I find something really close to "home."
Anyway, I am open to ideas and very teachable.
Once I get a Buell for driving to work, I can take more risks with my toy.

Hey im Jennifer from Mount Holly. I'm new to this site as well. I've got a 78 cj7 with 37 inch tires with a few modifications and a 96 project cherokee. Jeeps are definitely my new hobby!

Just about. At least i don't have to worry about them sweeping the WS. Cable and internet shut off on the 27th. Mover come to pack on the 27th. Load the truck on the 28th. Auto movers come to haul toy Jeep down. Driving the Cherokee down with the family.
We'll be NC on November 1. Celtics are coming down to kick some Bobcat behind on November 29th down in Charlotte. I may try to get tix.

New here also

Hey whats up people just wanted to stop and say hello. I just bought a Jeep from a friend who has put alot of time and effort into it, and I thought i would stop in and see what this website is all about

hi Im new here as well. Im in a 02 TJ mostly stock (2inBB) Im still a high school student so not a big budget but hope to do some mods soon

Hello all!,

Im new to the 4x4 world. Though I have watched alot of 4x4 TV and read up on ton's of different rig's on the internet.

I'm 19 and live in Forest City, NC Rutherford County. I am not new to modding/working on car's. I am a bit of a Volvo 240 series nutcase. I have owned about 9-10 Volvo's and own 4 right now. My home turf is http://forums.turbobricks.com/index.php . I own a 1986 245DLT, 1981 242GLT, 1979 242GT, and a 1976 245DL.

One of my best friends gave me the 4x4 bug about 2 years ago when I saw his 83 toyota 4x4 in action.

Well, about a week ago I bought his 83 toyota short bed single cab.

It has a 86k mile 20R 1980ish Celica motor in it. Also, it has 3in body lift and 33in tires.

The truck was t-boned once by a dodge 2500. So, it has a 79 bed/cab on it.

So far I put these parts on it:
-new starter
-new front calipers and pads
-1986 Cadillac Seville rear seat :-D

My plans for this truck are:
-3in suspention lift
-35's or so
-custom front bumper with 5500lbs winch
-custom rear bumper
-4000lbs winch right behind the tailgate
-roll bar with tool box between it and 5KC lights mounted on the roll bar
-chevy 350 or some other toyota motor. maybe built 22R with 20R head.
(I know someone who builds 20/22R's for the dirt track toyota's)

Anyway.. Here are pic's as it sit's right now

and here it is stuck in the mud at Flatrock. It got out under it's own power with the help of some near by log's and some really big/heavy rocks. oh, and that muddy water is really really cold this time of year!! lol

New here, although I've already posted a few times and have been reading the forum for a while. Recently bought a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) automatic, basically stock except for the typical chrome tube bumpers/nerfs and the new tires the used dealer put on: stock size Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country's. Yeah, basically street tires.

Been to URE once already and do plan on some minor mods as time goes by.

You can also find me on Jeepforum.com, usually in the TJ Tech section.

See you on the boards!

Whats up, names Chris and Im currently in Boone. I drive a 91 Explorer XLT with only 117,000 miles and took her out for the first snow 4x4 session and got hooked!

I hope the new folks will read this.
