Hi everyone. My name is John and I moved to the Ballantyne area of Charlotte in June. Moved here from Cleveland, Ohio. I will be moving to Monroe this week. I'm looking forward to getting my Jeep on the trails at Uwharrie soon. Here's my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited:

Whats up guys, name's Andrew.. New to the forum and Charlotte, was directed by a guy at 4WP's. Have a 99 XJ 4.5" lift, 33 km2s- Soon to be MTRs-, tube f/r bumpers, HnT, adjustable track bar, disco's, roof rack w/ bunch of lights, etc.. Traded my 95 240sx for this, needed to be back into a Jeep. Its not perfect, replaced the horrible angry eyes with Rampage H4s and upgraded harness. Flat fender flares are next.. Not new to Jeeps, had a Commander done up, family has owned 20+ ZJs, have a 98 5.9 and 96 5.2 currently but are stock. Anyway, really looking to get up with some Jeep guys, hate not having a garage to turn wrenches and have to pay to get work done so let me know anyone around Charlotte area who's willing to help out and do some wheeling!!

Hey Guys,

My username is Disjaukifa, but my name is Grant and I live in Durham NC. I've got two major hobbies in my life, cars/trucks and vintage arcade games. Kind of a weird combination but it works!

Anyway I own a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer 4.3l V6 5-speed manual 4x4 2 door that I'm about to get back on the road this is going to become my off road rig. I've never really gotten into off-roading. I once owned a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, but it was too small for me and the gas mileage out of the 4.0 was horrible compared to the 4.3L. I was getting 14.5 ~ 16 mpg out of the Jeep compared to my Blazers 18.5 ~ 19.5, big difference on fill ups!

Anyway I own several other vechiles at the moment.

1985 Pontiac Fiero <- 2.5l Iron Duke with 5-speed manual my DD
1988 Chevrolet C1500 extended bed 5.7L 350 with 700r4 automatic. The Hauler!
1984 Chevrolet Camaro the one speed muscle car . . . I'll explain later

I'm a GM guy through and through though I do respect and like Jeeps as well, I have to admit I love my Blazer.

Currently its not running, something went wrong with the hydraulic clutch so I haven't been driving it. However this coming weekend I'm going to be fixing all of that and I want to start slowing making this Blazer into a good cheap off road 4x4!

Here is a picture of my Blazer and my C1500:

I look forward to hanging out here and posting all the work I do on my 1998 Blazer!

Thanks
Grant

Hello fellow gearheads-

We just relocated from North Plainfield, NJ to Fort Mill, SC. Brought everything with us-- including a Bridgeport mill and another 35,000 pounds of junk.

Very glad to be here- warmer weather, no snow, longer days, lower taxes, and friendly neighbors!

Been an avid Jeeper since day 1 of obtaining the privilege to drive (legally) in '88. Still have that CJ and two and a half more Jeeps, to boot. Ugh.

We were very active in the North Jersey Jeep Club and are looking forward to getting active in this area. Lake Norman Crawlers and CORE are the two closest to us, as far as I can tell.

Can't wait to get the tires dirty-- it is such a privilege to have this many 4x4 parks so close!

EDIT- a few pics

Hi, I've been hanging around the forum for a couple weeks and just noticed this intro thread :eek:ops: I should be more observant LOL.

Anyway, I have an FJ Cruiser that I've had on some easy trails at Uwharrie a couple times. And last week I traded my Miata for this YJ http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/index.php?threads/the-senior-project.129068/

So I'm wanting to get a little more serious with OHV. I'm taking the beginner class at UORTC in January and hope to make some friends here to do some trails with at URE next year.

Here's my FJ, it's my daily driver.

Hello all. I'm Daniel, I live in Raleigh now and grew up near Pinehurst. I got a wife and three kids I like to shoot projectiles, build 4x4s and hit trails (when I can). I enjoy this site very much! I was told about this site by a member (thanks blaze) and now I'm addicted! I have sold, purchased, and ask advise on this site and have ALWAYS had a great experience. Every time. A guy I never met found cj parts for me from his friend, purchased them, and brought them 3(?) hrs maybe more to my door. Forgot his name but truly a solid dude! Sorry I missed this step in the beginning but I hope this makes up for it! If your in the Raleigh area hit me up!

I'm luke I have a 2003 silverado 1500z71 with a 5.3 in it I'm getting a level on it but now it only has 32.5 on it with 17in wheels

New here, living in Erie, PA currently but the wife and myself are looking into moving to western NC around the Asheville area.

Been an avid Jeeper my entire life even working for 4wdHardware for a time. Have owned and wheeled everything from xjs to tjs to my last YJ that was on EB axles and 37's. Currently finishing up a 98 5.0L exploder with a D30 SAS up front on 35's.

Looking to join up to get some more info on the wheeling in the area, vehicle inspection answers and if anyone has good hook-ups for real-estate.

Thanks in advance!

-Nick
