hi, new from montgomery nc home of the uwharries , just got my first 4x4 a 90 cherokee xj, stock for now but in the process of upgrading it .

Well I finally registered on here. Name is Kevin Cox and I am Jesse Spencer's second half (That one guy that bent his axle last year at ECORS ). Been too a few ECORS events with him and now we are Enlisted Budget Racing.

Anyways, here's my rig. I will say it's somewhat heavily influenced as a race rig, go figure, but it more than likely will never be racing. It has a very discreet internal cage and I couldn't be happier with it. Lots more work to be done of course. I pretty much run all Ironman components. My goal is to push the limits as a daily driver. I take no shame in being a cold blooded mall crawler, but I do go out and play with it anytime I can.

I plan on making a build thread with more details and info on it, and keep up with what ever projects I'm working on. I'm located in Jacksonville, NC.

Good to make myself officially known!

I currently have a 1995 nissan pathfinder SE. Just a beater! But I look forward to sharing info with everyone! Thanks!

We have finally moved down here from NY. Looking for some hard/expert trails around the area, and the girl and I would love to meet up with some wheelers (on or off the trail). Were about 15 minutes North of charlotte but would love to do some exploring. Offroad Cowboy (Christian) has been gracious enough to allow us to leave our buggy and trailer near concord for the time being till we can figure everything out. Thanks all!

Moved to NC about 8 months ago now but just a little over a week ago I bought my new me to Jeep. First offroad rig other than an atv and looking to have some fun and hopefully improve on the previous owners work and not break stuff lol.

New guy checking in. I saw a thread on Wrangler Forum about an event at Uwharrie and followed a link over here. I've been on the other Jeep forums for years and never knew this one existed.

I drove an '05 red TJ for several years before trading it in for a truck in 2012. The truck lasted just over a year before I traded it for my current Jeep, an '07 JKU Sahara. I really want a new Rubicon and will probably trade up in the not-too-distant future.

I grew up in Lexington, went to school at N.C. State, lived in Kenly for a couple of years while working for the best community newspaper in the state, and moved to Grifton a few years back to take a job as a teacher in Kinston. Now I'm in a graduate program at East Carolina, finishing up my master's in school administration.

I just noticed the original poster in this thread is also a teacher. Cool. Makes me feel less weird that I registered with my teacher name.

I love taking the top and doors off my Jeep and cruising around, and I'd love to get more into the trail riding aspect, but I don't really know anyone else in this area who has a Jeep. When I'm not at school, I play a lot of softball and tennis. I'm OK at one and terrible at the other.

That's about it. Did I do the intro post right?

Welcome! If you have time this weekend, you should head down to Uwharrie for the Veterans Ride. There will be group trail rides for all levels and it's a great way to not only meet a bunch of NC4x4 members and local/regional wheelers but to thank our veterans and active duty folks for their service!
