check out usjeeps.com for alot of people from columbia and all over SC. So is the ford made for some mud? what do ya like to do with it.

I'm getting ready to move up there, Aberdeen/Havre de Grace area.
What's the scoop on this club? This dosn't sound so friendly...

yeah, mostly it's done mud.. mainly because i've been unable to find trails that accomodate full-size rigs without a lot of body damage, and I'd really like to get some more mods done before I attempt rocks.

RatLabGuy-- What brings you to aberdeen/havre de grace? And do you have a choice of whether to live directly in those areas? The Route 40 area between havre de grace, aberdeen & edgewood is getting pretty seedy. A lot of gang growth and problems with ms13 (a particularly violent gang) out there. If you can steer toward Bel Air, you'd be much happier.

The Maryland Jeep Club is a great club, I rib on em a little but they're really a good group. I've been with them for a few years now, they're really active, they ride all the time, many trips to rausch creek and meet and greets at least once a month.

The group to stay away from is the Maryland Creepers, if they're even still around. They kind of self-destructed a few months back, they went from being knowledgeable to completely worthless in just a few months because of their constant vicious flaming.

I'm doing a research fellowship with the Army Research Lab at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
It didn't take long during our one trip out there to learn that the Rt 40 strip was pretty scuzzy.
We've found a rental we like up in Rising Sun in Cecil County, hoep to hear the final word on it today. Will have to commute across the river, but it seems more affordable.

Ah, APG. You aren't going to be working in the Biochemical/Chemical Defense area are ya? I have a friend who's a semi-big cheese over there...cutting up monkey brains and such all day to keep us Americans safe.. egh.

Wow so far in your not so long of being in SC you know where MS-13 and the KKK reside.. you have a future in the Columbia gangs now. :lol:

I havent been to Columbia in years and its only an hour and a half from me.. Looks like im not missin out too much..

Good to know about the area.

No, I'll be working in the visual & auditory processes division, integrating neuroscience (yeah, I've done the cutting up brains thing) with their research on sound localization in noisy environments.
I do have to get a security clearance though :huggy:
