Hanging out in Beech mountain for a couple days w friends, took a trip by ok App to see how it's changed, show the kids where Rachael and I met, had to embarrass them w a rail slide like old times

Just a small piece of metal in a stump right?

Wrong!! Looks like a piece of a old cast iron pot or something. I ground up as close as I could to it and busted it out with a sledge hammer.

Oh man, we were there nooding around the trails on foot around 11:30-1ish. Lots of bikers. The downhill course looked killer.

When did that concert end? We were in Blowing rock for dinner & ice cream, and were really surprised at how much traffic there was coming down Beech as we were going back up ~9:45pm.

Ah just saw this. We have to check out by 10, next stop is Elizabethton to visit family for a bit before heading toward home. So it'd have to be around then
 
Leftover hush puppies are a perfectly acceptable breakfast, given they are basically just grits but fried.

And ice cream is basically just milk and sugar, no different than cereal milk. So also breakfast food.

After 10 sometime. Lots of people were leaving not long after the steel drivers ended their set.
@jeepinmatt just got home for a minute before I have to turn and burn to get @tripped38 back to the airport so he can can return to the flat lands of Michigan.

It's too bad I didn't know yall were in town until yesterday. I would have put you to work and been able to just chill out and relax today.
