In Pinehurst grinding a few stumps. They want this biggest one close to the house ground 3' below grade. They are pouring a footer here to build an addition on. Luckily it's in the sand, so it's not too terrible. I should have took a before picture.

Community theater middle schooler production of Rock of Ages Kids....
The acting isn't exactly great, but my kid is learning an appreciation for the genre of music and having a great time learning tech stuff

EDIT - now that its over...
The acting was in fact terrible, and it's clear that any boy under the age of about 14 should not be allowed to sing in public. The music was so loud it was physically painful (my parents turned off their hearing aides) and the mic mixing horribly balances.
But none of that really matters, bc its what you should expect when a couple volunteer parents are steering kids to run things.... it's all worth it to also see a bunch of tweens and young teens gleefully sing and dancing to Journey enjoying putting a show on for other people, and having learned to put something on together.
Meanwhile my kid is just in the background having made props, moving set stuff, and doing the tech closeout, getting no credit or limelight, and it perrfectly cool w/ that, so I am too.
