Ther is a guy in Lexington, SC that parts out TJ’s but he’s high. Jody Frost in Marion, SC parts out jeeps and probably has what you want. But he’s high too.
I get that.My motto is buy low, sell high
Whats the going rate? $3k? Man I miss the 2000's. 35" tires were $400/set, 4.10 axles were $100 a pair, and a lift kit was $1000.I get that.
Just saying it's unlikely to find Rubi axles for that cheap.
I have no idea. I'm a coil spring guy. Is that bad? To be fair, that side is flexed up about 2" and has about 300lbs of tire/tools/gear in the back when that pic was taken.
If i still made the money I made in the 2000's, that would still be expensive!Man I miss the 2000's. 35" tires were $400/set, 4.10 axles were $100 a pair, and a lift kit was $1000.
There's some JL Rubicon axles on FB for $4k ish somewhere not far away. I remember seeing them earlier today.I just got quoted $3,800 for a set of stock JK Rubicon axles from a yard in GA that parts out wrecked jeeps.
@tobaccoroad4wd what do you know about them rubi axle prices?Ask @tobaccoroad4wd about them rubi axle prices lol
I gots a free 6 lug 44 here for anyone lolI've been perusing the marketplace for some axle upgrades for the WJ. I was thinking I'd like to run 35" stickies on it. I really don't want to put tons under it because I would have to run a much bigger tire, and I don't want to do that. But the way things are looking, it might be cheaper to do tons and big tires than to do decent D44s and 35s.
Send deetsI gots a free 6 lug 44 here for anyone lol
But you’ll have a FAD with the JL axles. There's some JL Rubicon axles on FB for $4k ish somewhere not far away. I remember seeing them earlier today.
The trick is finding someone who has bought a rear axle and the swap kit just to realize it isn't bolt in. Then you can pick it up for cheap.@jeepinmatt they’re higher than giraffe… tongue.
People want all the dollars for them, the last set I bought for the orange LJ I got for $500, complete and functional. I haven’t seen a takeout pair for less than $3500 here lately.
I'd also like more info on this...I gots a free 6 lug 44 here for anyone lol
Agreed. Pay once cry once.Just regear and lock what you have, much easier, less time consuming, it will cover the wheeling you will do and will keep your wheels and tires you already have.
You mean "buy once, cry once"Agreed. Pay once cry once.
I'd say 3 to 4 if you can find them.Whats the going rate? $3k? Man I miss the 2000's. 35" tires were $400/set, 4.10 axles were $100 a pair, and a lift kit was $1000.
Yup.I just got quoted $3,800 for a set of stock JK Rubicon axles from a yard in GA that parts out wrecked jeeps.
Regardless you got my point. Having built my xj up over the years IF you plan to dd and light wheel you are better off with stock axles and no bigger than 35's. Just my experience. You mean "buy once, cry once"
Pay once, cry once happens behind truck stops late at night
