Obamacare

Nothing?................somebody has to pay for coverage for peeps who don't have and apparently never will pay for their healthcare, or food, or housing, or taxes. As long as someone else foots the bill why would they? Oh, I forgot the money (lot's already spent) to create the thing, promote the thing, pay way too many people to run the thing (badly) and the money that will be skimmed off by politicos who may have already positioned themselves (companies) to get their share from the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ they'll force you to spend on it. Why the eye are us to inforce it? cause if you don't pay they'll take it right out of your paycheck or tax return, problem solved.

Personally, I think if they would have just fixed Medicare/Medicaid and actually made a way to give some balls to an agency to oversee Medicare/Medicaid abuse and fraud they would have been money ahead. No complicated non-working website to enroll, no jacked deadlines that are now a moving target, none of this crap.

But God forbid anyone imply that Medicare/Medicaid fraud exists....
 
Obamacare makes me fighting mad. My company does not offer health insurance (though I was told it would soon when I took this job) and now it will cost me $300 a freakin month!

Guess if I didn't work, or only made like 25k a year I'd get a better rate. But because I work my tail off to make what I do and get where I'm at me and all us other working folks gotta pay for the rest of the scum out there. This is just a real hot button issue with me.

I hate Obama.

That's crazy. Some of you are paying more than my mortgage for insurance. I have to suck it up and bite the bullet right now and pay it. Adding me to my fiancés insurance will make it $740 vs the current $250. This time next year if all goes as planned I hope to be on with the sheriffs department and will be so grateful for the benefits.

I hate Obama.

800 for a family of 3 to have insurance is a crock , save 800 a month and you'll have plenty to spend when YOU need it for your family

It's taking a gamble not having Insurance. You could be fine for 3 years, save 36k or spend 36k for something you didn't use for anything major. But one accident can quickly turn into 1 million+ in medical debt.

In 07 my knee surgery was 28k. I paid $2500.

Close friend on here almost lost his wife to the H1N1 Flu. Just a helicopter ride from Wilmington to Duke was over 80k. Not to mention she has been in ICU since Christmas until just this week. That's easily well over a million. His insurance has covered everything but a small portion considering the total amount.

Insurance has became like gas. They know that most of us will not go without it. Therefore they jack it way up.

That wont get you far when it is possible to have an accident, because some other jack-leg isnt paying attention, and run up $100k+ per day in ICU..... Unless your bank pays a hell of a lot more interest than mine.

I'm lining them up for prosecution as we speak! To my knowledge, most counties have at least 1 investigator - I'm 1 of 2 for my county and trust me, I have plenty of job security!
 
Got notice at work that my catastrophic plan was no longer an option and our insurance double for a crappy plan that doesnt cover anything until meeting the 6k deductible. So put my wife on here own plan from BCBSNC for 237 a month and she has a lower deductible and 4 doctor visits a year. Mine went down $30 a week to cover the kids and I.

A friend of a friend posted on facebook the following:

"I got insurance for $28 a month and yes I work"

then

"I pay $5 for primary. $10 for specialist. 15 for urgent. $100 for er. 60% out of network except for clinic and er. They remain the same. And deductible is $500"

This is crap we are subsidizing her plan, our rates go up, cant use the insurance until we hit a high deductible and she can freaking go see a doctor anytime dang time she wants for $5 freaking dollars. Why cant the subsidized plans be catastrophic and my plan stay the same. Her subsidized plan would be considered a premium plan if a corporation offered and they would be penalized for offering it.

Oh I pay $90 cash for a doctors visit and the doc knows that and prescribes any meds off the 4 dollar list that walmart offers.

More likely, they charged you $2439 because they knew they could get it, then they wrote off the rest.

That way, they get more money than sending it to collections.
 
The only reason a helicopter ride is 80k is because you have insurance. That's the problem

It's a fail system

More people buy in the worst it gets.
 
I hate Obama care,Obama and everything he is for.I wrote a letter to the white house to tell them what I thought,made me feel a little better.Thats what is so bad there is nothing we can do.It is Obamas' new stimulus plan.Take what little bit of extra money working people have ,that will be less money everyone is spending elsewhere, economy is going to suffer,just wait,then they will find someway to blame it on someone else.America is going to be a third world country before long unless something major changes.
