Project Blasphemy - UglyJeep Style

There have been many changes going on at the UglyJeep skunkworks in an attempt to make as many purists cringe as is possible.

I have had the Commando torn down some lately, and managed to get a good amount done.
First up was to trim the rear 1/4 panels and install the new rear bumper (see rear bumper with 1/4 panel protection thread)
Here is a pic of the 1/4 panel before. I had trimmed about 2" off about 2 years ago.

Here is the finished bumper. I am going to redrill the holes for the shackles and use a larger one. These are rated @ 3.5 ton, but they look a little too wimpy.

After finishing the bumper, I decided it would be nice to be able to stop quickly enough to actually need a rear bumper. :grin: I picked up a '77 Dana 30 for $5, and slapped on the discs. The only thing I am waiting on is new lines (should be here tomorrow).

Now, on to the Blasphemy part. I got tired of no uptravel due to fender clearance and trying to look over the fender corners, so I decided to do something about it.

And yesterday I started on the trimming off of the rockers. I am going to reinforce and protect the sides with 4"x4"x3/16th" angle running up the side and under the body.
Before:

After: I picked up about 5" of ground clearance on the sides.
