got a few parts this weekend

Bobby from Cooks Racing Transmission built me a rock solid th350 with all the goodies, and even added the 700R4 1st gear to it, along with a 2200 stall converter

also got a LS6 oil pan, windage tray and pickup, now the old truck oil pan wont hang to the ground

also just for information, in a new tranny build Bobby from Cooks told me to run

Castrol Blue Hydraulic Plus, ISO 46 part number 40247 from Oreilly auto parts

instead of atf, he says it will run 10% cooler with this stuff and also lubricates better for longer transmission life

THIS IS HIS WARNING

DO NOT SWITCH FROM ATF TO THIS IN A USED TRANNY, IT WILL FAIL, AS THESE FLUIDS DO NOT MIX

he set the valve body to be manual or auto, manual no vaccum attached or auto shift just hookup the vaccum line

just curious .. I was looking at the side bottom plate difference of your and my 4l60..
 
I am also running a Cooks tranny. No issues other than I broke the tailshaft casing on my first one. Gonna have that one fixed, and already have a new cooks built one installed. You will be happy with it!

I like the design, one question though. Do you think you will get hung up if the cage lays into tree with the dip in the middle?

he wouldnt know about the gas pedal... his doesnt do anything when he mashes it
