So I have been collecting parts to build another trail rig so i can rebuild the Ghost. @IronManAndy traded me his old ECORS race XJ he and his partner in crime @ Ironman4x4fab built and raced. The Ironman Crew is now racing an xj and building to race a 5.9 Grand in the Pro Rock Racing Survival Class. Those nuts are good friends and have almost convinced me to go for it. One of my twins and I will be building this to race too I hope. We will likely fight over who drives it though..... Hell the series my die before I get this thing together!

The plan:
95 xj 5 speed with a 241D
9" rear 44 front (mini-spool'd rear lock-right front)
35x12.50 - 17 LTB's
rebuild-able tun-able shocks. (because I don't know the technical terms for all this....)
air bumps I think...
limit straps
lots of Ironman4x4fab parts.
hydro assist

Yea this needs to be posted in the my garage is a mess thread......

We have no budget for this and a dream of doing something we have never done. I'm looking for some parts to try and make it a roller.

Parts We are ISO:
4" - 6" lift parts.
said shocks
front 241 yoke
will add more as I think of them......

A few questions:
1. What kind of beer do you keep around? IPA's Porters and Stouts mainly!
1.5 How much beer do you keep around the shop? If I know I have company coming 12 min.
2. What welding machine (s) are you using? Linclon ProMig 175
3. How soon an I taking a road trip to Hartsville? You sir are welcome anytime.

Right now looking for more parts for cheap to get it on its axles. Thought this might be a good place to post a thread and get feedback from the vast racing experience here and scrounge for peoples parts that are taking up space.....

I’ve got a Durango box that’s tapped for hydro assist sitting on the shelf. It needs an output shaft seal but if you want the box, I’ll replace it.
What is the advantage of the Durango box? Shoot me a pm of what you are thinking.

Let us know when there is a work day!!

Ghost racer. It rolls off the tongue easier.

So this thing is finally going to get some attention real soon. Just ordered a shackle relocation box and adjustable shackle from Andy @ironman4x4fab.com hope to start work on setting up the rear 9" this weekend or next. Still looking for cheap parts or donations.....

So finally got the last of the parts to put the rear end in... the tire will be for mock up and rollers until I can catch the 35” LTB on the blemish list.

I've got a 241C transfer case. Do you know it that'll work for your front yoke?
I do not but I can count the splines today i you an check those. You sell the yoke and nut or whole case and how much?

Looks like 30 splines to me. I don't have a caliper to measure it. My plan was to go back to the pull a part and get one but it's been hard to find the time. Hell I got shiney new Ironman4x4fab parts and havn't been able to get them installed......

So today it began.

Installed the ax-15 and the 241D. This Jeep came to me with a RE long arm cross-member. The 241 clears everywhere but that one bolt. Plan is to clearance the case to match the angle of the RE long arm mount. Eventually I'll go see Ironman Andy and see i we an it his 4 link in there but right now goal is to et this thing mobile.

Why not just clock it up a few degrees so any future case will clear without mods?
Just a thought.
. Factory ax15. Factory 241. Is there a clocking ring or other option over re-drilling the ax15?

Any of the D300 clocking rings will work. Same BP. Just make sure you have enough engagement in the splines
Or just redrill the extension housing
Never seen them or dealt with them. This case is tight but clears everywhere but that one bolt boss. I'll look into it.

It’s mega easy to re drill. Once you have a template it only takes like 20 minutes. I hate drilling aluminum though!

Spent some Christmas monies on a better transmission jack and after doing some invoicing removed the transfer case.

Thanks @4wheelsupply for cutting me a spacer.

Went to my local Ace and found these studs. 3/8 16 the same length as what goes in the t case. Using a screwdriver as a depth gauge I'm pretty sure they will work perfect. If not I'm thinking a washer will keep the nut back enough. Bad idea or should I look for a stud with the 3/8 24 threads cut lower?
