Race Ghost

Can’t wait to see where this goes. Let me know if you need a hand. Wouldn’t mind an excuse to come down there and try a weird craft beer and bust some knuckles.
Going to work some today and most likely tomorrow and maybe New Years day.

Someone asked about the year of the case. Isn’t one of these numbers the build date?

That is what I thought. Not 100% sure. I know it was a Dodge 1500.

Son is off until Thursday and my shop is at my office.... so more progress...

You plan on running a rear antiwrap bar? I stole one of the originals, maybe you snagged the other? lol
Going to do a slip and twist probably. Not 100% sure what I will do with that part of it yet.....

More work today.

So the Corona made this come to a screeching halt. I was hoping to wheel this in Harlan for the July 4th NAXJA Crawl.... Currently waiting on the front truss to be welded up and some decent tires, and drive shafts....

So where will this be racing? :)
Survival Series Stock Class.

First race is in April in Rush, KY. I doubt we will make that one. Shooting to attend it and learn. Will try and compete later in the year assuming we get ti all together.

I’ll probably join you if I have the time. I wouldn’t mind spectating and help out some of the other stock guys. The great thing about the stock class and the whole Pro Rock series in general is that everyone is close and helps each other out. The whole family feel is present for sure.

More parts and an axle. The holes we drilled on Sunday too!

Things did not look right. Texted my buddy Andy @ Ironman and he gave me a call. I came up with a plan to fix it. The ACOS were at too much of an angle and actually kicked out. So after Lunch at Bigs I got to work cutting them back out. My son and a friend came by later and helped me get them into a better position. We were about to tack the perches when while moving my welder the cart colapsed and welder and tank toppled to the floor. Broke the regulator and dented my Lincoln and busted the plastic on the face. I was heartbroken. I have had this thing a long time and it is a US built machine. It appears to work but I only flipped it on. New regulator will be here tomorrow so I'll give it a good test Tuesday at the latest. Once I confirm it's working I'll look for the damaged parts to fix what is broken. I am really close to throwing in the towel and trying to find someone to get the axle done. But with some encouragement from Andy I will plug on next weekend. I didn't get any after change pictures because all I wanted to do was leave and go have a beer.

So had a visit from @kcox506 and we got some work done.

Really enjoyed the help my friend. Front lower links are tacked up and in place. Started working on the upper link but beer:30 said we needed a break. Very happy with our progress today.

Heading to Hayesville Saturday to deliver the “Beater Honda” in trade for some more parts. I feel sorry for this Honda knowing the Ironman4x4fab crew.

Got a little done yesterday. Put new seals in the steering box to seal up a leaking shaft. Mocked up the upper link.

This Jeep has a Rubicon Express crossmember that I’m converting to 3 link. Still lots to do. @XJsavage should be in the shop this weekend to weld up the Motobilt DIY bead locks. You got nothing going on come on down.

Brace that link mount down the truss, sideways on the truss and every which way you can. There will be a ton of forces applied to it.
