And thisBack axle on the ASV has this simple design with a nut on either side so you can just take the nut loose and pull the hub off.

But for some stupid reason, on the front, it's a through shaft with a flange on the inside, so you have to pull the whole axle through the frame to get the inside hub off.
I'm sure it saves $3.46 and works great when it's new, but after 12 years of living in dirt and mud, it all becomes one piece.

That was waaaay too much work. Back was apart in 30 seconds. Front took 2hrs per side.
I guess when Terex bought ASV, they realized it was dumb, and made a design change. Now it's threaded on both sides, and you don't have to drive the axle completely out to change the inner hub.Down at the shop til almost 1am trying to wrap up this skidsteer undercarriage rebuild. Was putting the nut on the last hub, torqueing it down to a mere 380ft-lbs, when it got easy, the socket end fell to the ground and the hub nearly shot off from the release of force.

When it happened, I literally just walked over, cut the light off, and closed the door.
$16k with rusty frame. I posted pics on another thread. It's got several problems you cant see from the road. This Scrambler has been 4 sale for awhile, but I just took the pics. Didn't approach it to see the price. Denver, NC.
numerous folks told me about it so I stopped by last week. What a train wreck. The frame rot is extensive and that crapstastic bed floor…..$16k with rusty frame. I posted pics on another thread. It's got several problems you cant see from the road.
Oh it's a 50 footer for sure. Did you LOL at the rear shackle hangars?numerous folks told me about it so I stopped by last week. What a train wreck. The frame rot is extensive and that crapstastic bed floor…..
I feel the “bracing” used to support the tub after losing the rear bed floor takes the cake. I crawled all under the damn thing I was so amazed. I considered telling Pete (guy who owns Meineke) how horrible it is just in case he’s helping to sell it but anyone with decent eyesight should see the mess.Oh it's a 50 footer for sure. If they wait long enough someone will probably buy it, sadly.I feel the “bracing” used to support the tub after losing the rear bed floor takes the cake.
