Random pic thread.

Maybe not a good recommendation for air bags. The ones I drove, sat on rubber pads. No springs on the rear. I see a few dump trucks, on air bags. They don't look as stable as springs.
Actually the opposite with this hendrickson primaxx suspension. The axle is essentially a swing arm. Really reduces leaning a lot.
A 40k lb load with a center of gravity about 6-8 ft off the ground, gotta slow down regardless of suspension design.

But, road tractors converted to dump trucks with air springs are highly unstable. Especially if they don't dump the suspension when the tailgate unlocked.

Shit just got a little too real... 2 months to go

Definitely don't have enough power with this little Isuzu 7.8l, Allison 3000, 16k front, 40k locking rears. Wheelbase and bridge law limits me to 51000lbs. Im sure you already know in NC you can put 38k on tandems, lift axle might be nice too
We run a lot of the Cat C-7 motors. 300 hp & Allison automatics. They run pretty good for 54 K - 61K tagged dump trucks. Doing some research on the 7.8, You got a Real engine, vs the C-7. If it a 300HP, or you can tune it to that, you'll be happy. You might be a little light on the front axle. I missed seeing that GVRW 56,000, on the door!

If I'm being honest, I expected a better fitted hole for the hitch.

That bed mat has been through 4 different trucks and 4 hitches now. 99 Super Duty, 15 Ram 2500, 20 Ram 3500 and this one. They've all been in nearly the same location.
Send me a new mat and I'll do it to your highest of standards 😘

My FIL’s 72 Ford. Has a 429 in it. It used to be a beautiful truck and was fun to drive. I’ve quit asking him when we are going to get it back on the road. I don’t even remember why he parked it. I think it was running fine, he just parked it and never got it back out, probably health issues.
It will probably still be sitting there when he’s gone because he won’t sell and he just doesn’t do much any more.
