Random pic thread.

Took my wife and FIL to check out the block work going on at the house. Snapped a pic of one of the trail marker trees while we were there. It’s right on the bank of one of my springs.

Any tips for finding the pointy triangles @XJsavage …..besides look down? :D

I played wood worker in the shop today. Building some stairs to get to the top of the officeView attachment 363922 easier. It is a perfect place for storage.
Please! Add a hand rail, even if it's on the inside. Just for stability. When I was a kid, I fell off a set like that & knocked myself out. I've been senseless since! The rail might not have stopped my fall, but it's Nice to have something to hold on to!

That is on tomorrows to do list after I finish securing all the steps.

Inlaws were in town for Christmas last week and I managed to get in some hiking at Linville Gorge. First we did Hawksbill Mountain (3.5miles, 1000ft of elevation with todd on my back).

Then we cruised over to the Chimneys for a couple miles of spectacular vistas, bouldering, and sunset.

Son in law finished his engine rebuild on his Samurai. Pretty bad ass. .30 over, small cam, header.

I am always amazed at what some elbow grease and a heat gun can do! The before pic is actually half way through the process but you get the idea. Running boards had a bunch of cigarette burns and the heat gun pulled them all out on top of making the plastic look like new.
When I had an old Ford Escape, I bought some of that Bumper Spray, that matched & hit all the trim panels. It worked good!

Shit just got a little too real... 2 months to go

oh man, I remember walking into Babys R Us to register and after about 10 min, I think I had a full on panic attack and had to leave for a bit and come back. I guess up until that point, it didn't really register to me that I was having a baby until I stepped foot in that place, because its not like Target where you can go and look at other stuff besides baby things.... its all baby things...everywhere...

I saw this in Florida this morning. Do you think he's ready to go to harlan?

I'm curious about how they had it connected.
