Found this guy chillin' in the bushes outside the house...6' black snake, he was suspiciously close to a destroyed, empty bird's nest....I am sure he was just concerned!
I have a Carolina Wren that has made a nest on our covered patio.
This particular bird is on at least year 3 of nesting around and on my house (he has a very distinct wing marking) This year he has nested on top of the patio sconce light. My resident rodent exterminator has been ushered away from the patio now 3 times. Eventually he will win - but Im trying to give the birds a fighting chance

We have a 6'er around that we've relocated a time or two (usually from the neighbor's deck) but I found a 3'er in the basement two weekends ago. It was in amongst the rakes and tried to go behind the toolbox when I found it. It was either try to catch it or explain to @shawn that there was a snake in his toolbox. It wasn't happy but not terribly unhappy with me relocating it to the bushes.

So just to recap, you caught a black snake and put it in the bush so Shawn wouldnt find it.

We have one thats close to 6' around the house. Hangs out up in the barn most of the time. Ive only had to move him once. I was running some wire for a new outside outlet and light, and thought I was grabbing a bundle of wires. NOPE! After gathering myself, we had a chat and I walked him back up to the barn lol. I call him Fred. Wife was not impressed. Havent seen him yet this year but I hope hes still around.

Our church has an old ballfield across the road that’s been neglected for a while. My teeballers have been using it, but apparently there aren’t any fields available to practice on in the county now that games have started so a few teams have reached out to use it as well. I put a couple hours in with a tiller trying to clean it up last week and make it less sketchy, but a buddy’s dad brought his toys over today and saved me a ton of work. I just laid out some lines and he hooked me up in less than an hour.
