Random pic thread.

Neighbor in the mountains had a big dying maple taken down before it fell across the driveway, and they saved the trunk for me. I didn’t want to drag the skid steer and trailer just for this, so instead, I spent 2hrs mounting a HF ATV winch to the headache rack of the truck and hoped it would have enough grunt to get the job done :shaking:

The secret to success was cribbing everything in the right fashion and wrapping the strap around so it would roll onto the truck instead of having to full drag it.

That was fine, but "I" would have raised the bed to start with! I guess it was a "you had to be there" shituation.

Dang these guys just want stay away! They leave, but they keep coming back. A couple pictures covering about 10 days. Today, I left out {After the road opened grrr} an came back 2 hours later. I got a new Cross in my yard. They say they will fix all the holes, ruts & whatever's, plus leave me some extra seed & straw. IF they do, it will be the First contractor to do so!

It started out as a diagonal pull that was putting a lot of side load on the bed, and when the bed is up, it’s only supported by the rear pivots. When it’s down, I have some steel brackets that control side to side motion.

Got the chance to chat a little with Ben Nichols from Lucero tonight before their show at neighborhood theatre. Always a great live show.

Yeah, Don't hold your breath. Told me the same thing when they replaced poles and the 3 phase a couple of years ago. Still waiting.

I won this years over under bet. Took the under on 14 kids trick er treating. We are in a 25 year old neighborhood that has yet to flip back to young kids. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac and only a couple houses still give out candy, so we started having a fire at the end to bring them down. But from 6 to 8pm only 12 kids came for candy. Oh and one drunk neighbor. Lol
