My bucket load of storm pics. Not even showing the new grass planting where Matt & I have worked so hard, & Fought the rain more than once! Using my John Deere to pull some huge Sycamore branches out of my driveway, the largest one snapped & attacked me. I had my back to it, & it fell brushing my side [arm & leg], as it crashed onto my Antique. Even knocked the taillight reflectors out! Other than a few scratches, my 1989 mower has never been damaged!
Over next to my rear neighbor, with steep hills, the water came down so fast it gouged out two large mulch beds & washed debris as far as 300'. My neighbor across the street, lost a tree, right up to the edge of the street, & a couple more at the rear of his property. Gaston County got freaking Hammered!
The last pic, is a video. [wth causes this Line through here?]
I thought I saw some branches from 27 when I came home yesterday. Thank goodness there wasn't any more damage.

Well this is cool. Not everyday you can see the northern lights in the south!

Can you see them with the naked eye or just through the camera? I looked a bit ago but it's still cloudy here.

Duane

you can see with your bare eye. You do see more color through the camera though. These are just on my phone.

Started the afternoon cutting grass and leaving a special message for my little buddy Eli.

Then got started on storm cleanup. This poplar didn’t get any shorter since Tuesday, haha.

And before it could come down, I needed to get this massive dying triple pine down that I’ve been procrastinating for about a year.

IMG_3526.jpeg

Once it was down, I took the poplar down without even touching it.
IMG_3528.jpeg

Just bumped the pine it was hung up in about 3 times.

Then it was time to make it all go away. All the tools were there…

Including the help!

But once he woke it was nice to have someone to run the winch and feed bar.

Had some other visitors too.

Ended up taking down another 12” pine, a 10” unidentified softwood, and a 12” cedar that had died a few years ago. That led to 4 separate mulch piles. Good chips, stringy chips, leafy chips, and my personal favorite, cedar chips.
IMG_3545.jpeg

Pics don’t do justice to how massive this pile was.

Oh god….what are the details and price on this.
Details are it’s a super survivor. Zero rust and very minimal dents. Absolutely no rust in the floor or anywhere else. Unfortunately it was painted before and the paint is clear coat peeling. It’s a 383 car aluminum intake, headers and a 4bbl. I got new carpet and new seats for it. A paint job and it’s a bad ass car
