Gah I loved these packs when I was a kid. Brings back amazing summer memories for me
Same. My mom would always get them for us when we went on vacation.Gah I loved these packs when I was a kid. Brings back amazing summer memories for me
Hopefully it’s geared super low or you’re going to have to haul ass to get them blades spinning fast enough to cut grass.
I was trying to do the math in my head but gave up. I figured one of the smart folks on here would break it down for us.Hopefully it’s geared super low or you’re going to have to haul ass to get them blades spinning fast enough to cut grass.
Figure about 1:3.5 on the axle, looks like 1:2.5ish on the pulleys, and no idea if there’s anything else where the shaft drops down. 27” tires from a car or small SUV, 25” blades from a 6ft mower, and 5mph travel speed. Nerd.Figure about 1:3.5 on the axle, looks like 1:2.5ish on the pulleys, and no idea if there’s anything else where the shaft drops down. 27” tires from a car or small SUV, 25” blades from a 6ft mower, and 5mph travel speed. It’s pretty simple really:
(5*5280/60/(27/12*3.14))*3.5*2.5*(25/12)*3.14=3564.8 SFM blade tip speed
A good mower is about 15000-20000 SFM, so you’d have to tow that thing at about 25-30mph to get good blade tip speed, at which point your clip rate is so dumb that it’s probably just leaving some kind of wavy pattern in the grass.
F around and find out…..
Says the guy that brought a buggy! Some black diamond curbs in that parking lot?
Sounds liek a pretty badass fish - he escaped twice! So I walk outside about 6:15 this morning. Took a look at the water, and I see what looked like something weird moving across the cove. I finally realized it was a fishing rod getting pulled around by something. I walked down to the dock and it finally came close enough for me to grab it. It was about a 10lb catfish dragging a cane pole. Got me a nice collapsible pole in the arsenal now. No picture of the fish. As soon as I got him on the dock the line broke and he flopped a few times and went back into the drink. Pretty cool way to start a Saturday.
