Dinner and a show
You can tell how old this is from the prices
Man, the good ol days! My former VFD had the F 250, 1959, when I joined & this pic was taken. A few years later with my influence, the same 10 x 16" chrome rims & 12.5 x 33 x 16 " Ground hawgs were added! Dept updated to a new 1993 F 350, & added the 10" & Goodyear MTs, since the county had a contract with Goodyear.
That’s some bullshit right there! That was a nasty nick!A really good friend and fellow Eagle Scout was over at the house the other day and asked to borrow my knife to fiddle with something on the sawmill. Kinda annoyed me because he’s supposedly a man and an Eagle Scout, but I figured it’ll be fine. He gives it back to me a few minutes later, folded up as one would do, and we go on about whatever it was we were doing. A few minutes later I open it up to cut something and find this!

“WTF man!”
“Oh yeah, haha. Bumped a wire. It should polish out. Is that a Kershaw Blackout?”
“Yeah, they don’t make them anymore and they are like $100-150!”
I don’t remember if he apologized or not, but there was no effort to fix it and no offer to replace it. PS dude is a doctor so money ain’t the issue. Kinda annoyed me. Anyway, after a few days of annoyance, I finally decided to fix it. Belt sander to the rescue.

Still pisses me off though, and I guarantee you he will never hear the end of it. And never borrow my knife again.
Hey! There’s a Moo Cow sippy cup on the shelf!
Well, if you want to pay $1500 for a drill press instead of $250, you can have one that changes with levers. I think they need to be a little more robust than a small stand mixer.Hey! There’s a Moo Cow sippy cup on the shelf!
Question on drill presses vs mixers. Our Kitchen aid mixer has an easy to use little variable speed lever on the side. WHY THE HELL do you have to open the lid of a drill press and manually change the belt to different pulleys?
I have that same drill press. It kinda sucks. The chuck slips and will come off at times. I keep thinking I need to replace the chuck but haven't done it yet
You probably have some trash or nicks somewhere. The taper should hold more torque than that can produce. Maybe try scotch-bright on the male and female tapers, plus check for scratches, nicks etc that prevent them from touching. Don't just mash it back up there.I have that same drill press. I would use it for its intended purpose… bakingI have that same drill press. It kinda sucks. The chuck slips and will come off at times. I keep thinking I need to replace the chuck but haven't done it yet

I have a knife somewhere that looks like that because I used it to jump a starter solenoid.A really good friend and fellow Eagle Scout was over at the house the other day and asked to borrow my knife to fiddle with something on the sawmill. Ever stuck your hand in a Kitchen Aid mixer? Probably not because you know how much torque they have and you want to keep your hand. besides that, we're not talking rocket science here. It's damn near stone age technology.Well, if you want to pay $1500 for a drill press instead of $250, you can have one that changes with levers. There are vari-speed drill presses out there too. But that costs more money and the pulleys and controls are more complicated to build.Question on drill presses vs mixers. Our Kitchen aid mixer has an easy to use little variable speed lever on the side. WHY THE HELL do you have to open the lid of a drill press and manually change the belt to different pulleys?
Rockwell EFI-2T drill press, sub model 70-131 with tapping option. #4 Morse taper spindle, 90-3360rpm, power feed, rare tilting and swivel table. $1200
