Random pic thread.

As someone who walks in and out of the Lego Store shaking my head at the prices, that's really not funny :(

Years ago the Lego store at Disney Springs had a fill a cup for $5 or something like that.I always got the side eye from the employee's cause I would take my time and strategically place the pieces in the cup to get the maximum amount possible.I guess Im part of the reason they quit doin that.

They set the system up with certain rules. If you’re not breaking the rules that’s on them.

Legos have gotten out of hand. As an avid collector, it's put a damper on the fun. $400 sets are becoming the norm now and I can't play that game. I'm filling the gap collecting minifigures now but that's even becoming ridiculous. If you want a special character from Star Wars, you're paying $70 for a $35 ship and some copy pasta storm troopers. #nerds

Yeah my 8yr old is big into them and I feel this. All his birthday money will only *almost* get him a good set. I always bridge the gap but it sucks that they are so expensive. He's pretty good at them so the age appropriate ones are no challenge. He's building a 16+ international space station right now

Next time you go to Disney or are in FL check for lego's on MP.A few years ago jake bought a ton of em and about filled his carry on bag w them.I think TSA was kinda suprised when they opened his back pack.Jake has been buying them locally off MP for pretty cheap.he got 3-4 1 gal freezer bags full for about $7 a bag BUT they are mixed Lego's w a figure or two in em.

It won’t let me attach the gpx file here.
First time I had used a gpx file, so it’s probably something I’m doing wrong. if you have a suggestion let me know.

I have a garmin zumo xt, I'm not sure if you can upload the file here or not.

If you like that kind of stuff, if you haven't check out Log into Facebook lots of good events just west of Boone.

It's getting STOOPID! I get a 30% discount regularly, but right before Christmas they do 50% discount for employees. That's the only time I'll buy. My wife gets all butt hurt when I go to the park and don't bring home a set. Sorry Babe, Only went to the Admin Building and met with Tech Services Director. Knowing damn well I was at their Model shop across from the Store. :D

But what REALLY gets me, is as you said, $400 sets. Who is buying these? Adults are. And what is the target market for LEGOLAND? 6-12 y/o. WTF? you purposely omit generations of guests? Put some adult adult rides in there. I've been trying to convince them of this since I started. I'm finally getting them to see it after 6 years in the biz. LEGO is the hard one to convince. NOT the people at the LEGOLANDS around the world. /rant

here's a rondo picture I took at a car museum to get back on track....

Some pics I took for my son. This is from the show room at Paramount Classic Cars in Hickory. They had a number of classic vettes there too.

No drain plugs and the only access requires forearms of a teenager and the flexibility of a contortionist.

I guess I fit both.

1/4 pipe tap plug dry rotted an broken off in the holes to boot.

Retarded.
