Had to do balljoints in my brothers jeep zj today and right as I get a torch out it started to rain pretty hard. So I look at the wj in the middle of a motor swap, see it’s hood is off sitting next to it in the garage, grabbed it and some cardboard and made a tent out of the hoods. Just happened there’s a cj5 next to it to use as the other support. Add a tarp to cover the sides and I can beat hot ball joints out as long as it’s not super windy.

I was swapping motors years ago and it rained for 2 days. I took our 10' patio umbrella and poked the pole down through the engine bay. It worked great kept the engine and myself dry. After that I used it a couple times to keep the sun off me while wrenching.
