Random pic thread.

I had a few trees come down in the ice storm that hit a few weeks ago. This one was right outside our kitchen and breakfast area. I didn't feel like staring at the bottom side of a root ball for years until it deteriorated, so I decided to teach my boy how to use a hand winch and some simple principles of physics. Now I just need to cut it off flush with the ground.

I only realized this after struggling through the process twice. Best money I ever spent on a Jeep period.

Too much money. Wrap wire around bolt and fish through frame.

That reminds me of a HUGE Oak tree, that fell in the City Cemetery a few storms back. Hard to believe, buy no burial sites were disturbed. City & a local tree company have been slowly getting it all cleaned up. Saw the guys working a week back & asked, How you gonna get the Humongous Stump out? There's No way to get to it. They said they were just going to stand it back up & leave it ti nature. OK!

I heard an old wives tale one time that said to drill holes in the top of the stump, fill em w syrup and the ants would eat the stump.Never tried it though.
