Random pic thread.

Weebles wobble but they won't fall down. I've seen them on one jobsite b4. Worked good until the walls went up.

Between this and those tiny houses that were popping up it looks like we moved just in time! This looks to be a stone's throw from our old house on Enwood. Rodney, is that there where those ponds are? Where that development was started and roads were put in but nothing ever went up? If so, it's about dang time they did something w/ that.

No, it's on Gum Branch between Tom Sadler and 485. They still haven't done anything with the neverhood around the ponds. That place was cleared out like 20-30 years ago. It's odd.

The tiny houses thing got shut down in a hurry. All of Coulwood was against it. The Neighborhood App was lit up for a while with it. Apparently they did some digging and found that the tiny house developer had some shady businesses going on in other states. I think they built 1 or 2 and then the city shut it down. The neverhood on Tom Sadler is weird, its for sale still. I doubt they will put apt buildings there in the new construction, more likely starter homes to match the other ones right off Tom Sadler.

Coulwood is still a great neighborhood. Our property value has increased greatly in the 2.5 years that we have been here. Many of the homes are being renovated and being sold for 300k+ with younger people moving in. I wish I could afford the empty lot next to me and build a big ass garage on it but the owner has it priced insanely high.

Yea, that's what I thought about the tiny house thing as well but last time I drove down Cathey I could have sworn they were digging footers on another lot. And I had no idea the neverhood was done like 20 years ago...that's nuts! It is certainly more single-family dwellings as opposed to multiple unit apartments but I thought that area looked somewhat familiar.

I agree about Coulwood...we really enjoyed our 6+ years there and miss it. Of course, we move right when they start to put more "stuff" in too (i.e., Riverbend Village). That was always my biggest knock about that side of town...you either had to ride up to Denver or head towards Uptown to get something to eat that wasn't a chain. That said, it will also increase the traffic around there which is the major drawback IMO. Our property value increased like crazy in the 6 years we were there. We were one of those you speak of that renovated and cashed out at the right time. We nearly sold for 2x what we purchased for. Charlotte real-estate is crazy expensive these days and I don't see it slowing down any time in the near future.

I just noticed it a week ago, & was by there yesterday, again. Haven't seen any Signage, identifying it. Just the property is small, for houses. I figured Apt. would be a better fit. And the vacant land at Belhaven & 16, to maybe Old Plank rd., Was approved for low income! Old Plank Rd, just off 16, is Dang Self Storage! That seems Odd, as it's in a residential area.
