Random pic thread.

Found this in Town today. 1936 Dodge, 6 cly.flathead, 3 sp. floor shift, Barn Find! My understanding, all that's been done is general resto. Had been in a barn for over 30 years. Maybe someday, I'll get to see the Barn pics!

Ever wondered what a steel belt looks like after 7 miles at 60mph?

I had to gain access to my shower valves last week. What is the best way to reassemble this? I’m fairly certain I’m over thinking this.

My current thought is to adhere some 1x material to the back of the existing metal lathe (vertically), then two layers of 1/2” backer, then just build up thins set or grout the rest of the way out.

Should I even attempt to get a matching tile?

Dispense dollars to someone else

Was there no way to access them from the rear? Damn
Not really. There is a shower/tub that backs up to this one, and it's the one my kids use. So for us, it made more sense to approach it this way. My wife and I can use another shower while this one is down.

Sweat equity or bust

In that case, 17 tubes of white caulk, a rectangular stencil the same size as your tile, and a can of matching blue spray paint :D
