Cleaning the corrosion off of the terminal would help too.

Same here. Shop site stays a mud pit. As soon as it dries out a little we get rain or snow.

Woodstove is in the basement. Main floor heat is set on 66, but it is a nice and cozy 70 degrees
Yep. The professionals dont cut it that close. Just clip the corners at 45 and let the trim plate cover it. Keep moving and do more in less time. Get paid, move on.I’m sure there’s a more “professional” way to do this.

I'm really torn about whether I should put an insert in my fireplace. I love watching the fire but getting little to no usable heat off of it is a real bummer. Ideally I'd get one with glass doors but I haven't found one I like yet.
