For some reason when I first read this, I thought it had to do with medical patients.New contact day is the best day
I look forward to the 1st and the 16th for the same reason.

I wore them for a few years but they were never as comfortable as monthlys. Guess I'm weird.I ended up trying daily’s a few years ago and never looked back.
When I was wearing dailys I'd have them in for a few weeks lol. Still, they weren't that great for me even on day 1Geez...I'm the king of turning a 3 month supply in to a 3 year supply. I generally let nature run its course, when one naturally pops out, I let my eye breathe a couple days and then pop another one in. Repeat process until I'm down to my emergency 'expired' contact stash. Then schedule an appointment.

Hard Contacts?fuck you guys.
My contacts are hundreds of dollars each and only get replaced every few years.
Yep. RGPs. Basically a fancy acrylic.Hard Contacts?
Ouch. I had them for years, finally made the switch to soft lens and never looked back. My eyesights not as good with them, but the comfort is totally worth it.

There is no soft lens option in my perscription.
A little bit of everything. Extremely myopic. Like my glasses perscription is something like -13 or something. I couldn't tell you where the chart is. Maybe that giant white blur over there? Reading distance is something like 3 inches. In high school I got a glasses update and the edges of the lenses were so beveled the earpieces literally could not fold down all the way. Had to switch to high index refraction lenses. I've worn contacts since middle school, when RGPs first became a possible thing.Something unique or are you just that blind? I literally can't make out the top letter on the eye chart. Puts me at a -6.25 for my contact prescription. Last time I actually went in, they said if my vision got much worse, I'd be looking at hard lenses, whether contacts or glasses.
Yup. I'll put in a set of dailys when I mow my dirt and rocks in the summer. Don't want all that dust and shit trashing my good ones.I do too much dumb stuff and it don’t hurt as much to go through a set or 2 a day.
I do carry a 2nd set on the boat for that reason.i get monthly contacts. and take them out most nights and remember to change them when they start bothering my eyes. usually 2-3 months. i loose alot during the summer, swimming waterskiing and what not. apparently your not suppose to open your eyes under water with contacts in but i do and about 95% of the time they stay in.
shit i started leaving 2 pairs of contacts and some glasses just in case. i lost one put a new one in and then quickly lost that one and had to drive home 2 hours with one eye closed. after that i decided i wasnt doing that shit again.I do carry a 2nd set on the boat for that reason.
i asked to move my eye appointments around so they are in august so i can have the sharpest vison possible for hunting season.I don't know how long my contacts are supposed to last. I got a year supply (couple boxes) freshman year of college and just got new ones last year. Lasted me 10 yrs. They expired in 2011 ha. I take them out every night. I only change them when one tears or get so gunky I with protein I can't get it clean. I always swap in a new pair the opening day of hunting season though.
For me, it's not the money, it's the fact that I never think to change them.I change my 2-weekers every 15ish days. And take em out at night. I have enough issues as it is, no need to make it worse. If I were to save that $20/month, I'd just find something else to spend it on anyway.
As for the rest of yall, well yall are all gonna die of something.
So you are normal then? But hey, I'm lucky. Most ocular alibinos can't drive at all
I was fully expecting a tree comment to come up.Dave,
I'm sorry but I have to.
Love ya. Mean it.

I wore glasses for about 2-3 years in middle school and then got contacts an never looked back. I HATE glasses. The magnification is not as consistent, they fog up, they fall off, and the peripheral vision sucks. Contacts can be annoying, but glasses are terrible for my lifestyle.43 years old and I pick up my first ever pair of glasses next week. Need to wear them all the time. Probably needed them a year or so ago but just kept putting it off. Figure I’ll try contacts later down the line.
