They SUCK!They make a machine that will do both processes. Seems really dangerous to me, but it exists.

That depends how much shaking around you do beforehand. How does my pee change color midstream? Doesn't it all come from the same bladder?
Think about the weight distribution though. When that washer is full of water it is HEAVY, and getting thrown around. If you had it up top you'd have to have a bunch of counterweight on the bottom to keep the thing safe.Saw a commercial for a washer/dryer tower where the washer was on the bottom and dryer on the top and I thought to myself, man if someone could invent the same concept but have the washer be on top and after the water drained out, it would automatically drop the clothes down into the dryer and dry automatically...
The answer is the complete opposite of socialism.....less government. No government programs for homelessness and drug addiction. No free school lunch. No billion dollar camps for illegals. No free anything. The Pres cou get on TV tomorrow and say we are lowering everyone's taxes substantially, but we are now responsible for looking after each other in our daily lives. Charites, churches, friends, family, neighbors can lean on each other. The way it used to be. Now, everyone assumes someone else will take care of the down trodden....and for the most part they will, after taking a dollar from you and giving the poor 20 cents. It occurred to me last night while watching an incredible fire work display in a resort town surrounded by high 6 and plenty of 7 and one 8 figure boats…
Everyone would agree poverty and homelessness and hunger and suffering are bad..but we could probably largely cure these problems simply by diverting totally unproductive discretionary waste money…and we wouldn’t even really miss it.
but that also feels like socialism which I know doesn’t work on an individual scale but…
I guess smaller government and a local government not having enough money/power/control to host a 250k firework show wouldn’t be a bad thing
I dunno just random Monday thoughts
taking this in a different direction... but... you might want to look at the allocation of where tax $$ goes. The answer is the complete opposite of socialism.....less government. Except that's not how it works. But yes to all the other stuff. The Pres cou get on TV tomorrow and say we are lowering everyone's taxes substantially,

Thermometer? Potentiometer? Inclinometer?Where does the O come from in Speedometer?
No other 'meter' do we add that to.
PotentiometerWhere does the O come from in Speedometer?
No other 'meter' do we add that to.
thats a meter that reads potential. Seems logical.Potentiometer
Wait.... It's not called a voltometerWhere does the O come from in Speedometer?
No other 'meter' do we add that to.
Root of thermometer is thermo, not therm. Like thermodynamics or thermocouple.Thermometer? Potentiometer? Inclinometer?

Unless that should be a potentialometer?
exactly.Wait.... It's not called a voltometer
In other news - this is the kind of shit that gets talked about over dinner here at the #Nerdhouse.
I agree with some (much) of this..but when you lost me at not feeding kids in school lunches. News flash, from 1st thru 7th grade I typically ate 1 meal a day …the free lunch at school. At times I’d round up the stuff my friends didn’t eat and bring home to mom when things were real bad.Yes, I know that is not how it works. I didn't feel the need to copy/paste from wikipedia how a bill becomes law.
The prez has enormous amounts of power when it comes to pushing narratives and influencing policy. He could call for more personal responsibility, keep the family together, call for lower taxes, reduce the gov't size, and advocate for living more 'free'.....but make it known that there is less of a safety net.
It won't be an overnight fix, but getting to the point where we are now didn't happen overnight either.
And its not just the immediate savings...schools could be smaller....no PE, no sex ed, no meals......go to school 4 hours a day.....reading, writing, math, science. Parents, feed your kids. That's it. Every single person knows how much time and money is wasted at the public education level.
OH, and shut the southern border except for trade deals. No more people. Once everyone is employed that is here now, then we can look to import.
There used to be shame in this world. You were laughed at and shunned if you were a deadbeat and had a bunch of brat, bastard kids. Where did that go?
Now its encouraged. And we voted for it.
I don't understand the mindset of feeling the need to pander to just a certain group or importing skill-less uneducated people by the millions to get votes. The VAST majority of American citizens here now want to work hard, keep their money, and not be bothered. If a politician made sure that happened, they'd never lose. Its so easy..... No need to social engineer and lie and spend billions and work yourself to death. Just be honest and stay out of people's way.

Take that meal away lots of kids wouldn’t eat at all.
Take sex Ed out and STd and teen pregnancy I’d suspect would increase
schools are kinda pointless for great parents and the public system isn’t there for the kids of great parents. It’s to raise the lowest common denominator and let a rising tide raise all ships

Oh, they'll help their brother... but only their brother. The libertarian in me says that's not the states problem and should be left to charity. The realistic in me knows that people suck and won't help their brother.
