The District Ranger would like to see it reopened, it did help with revenue for the recreation program. Safety is the utmost concern. I've offered to volunteer as range master on weekends and maybe if more did the same it could help the cause. Even if they would agree to open it under conditions that require supervision, there is no money to budget a paid range master it would have to be volunteers, it's still better than no range at all.

I wasn't aware they had given a second Grant, Good for them! I could tell be the Article, they're doing All they can, to support Gun owners!The NRA gave a grant to get this range running also already. I think for URE it was either 25,000 or 40,000. That is how it is able to be opening here soon. So you are correct that the NRA is stepping in for us here. And i think it was the NRA years ago that got this range here to begin with.
