Holy crap!! I just read all this. OK, actually i skimmed through and mostly looked at the pics. That thing is incredible. When I saw the first few pics I thought you were insane, but it all seems to be well put together. It looks like it should be on Safari somewhere in Africa.
As far as getting in. Rig up some drop down steps like attic stairs.
OH this pic made me really laugh. Your welder looks terrified of what is coming.

Went to AAA salvage to pick up some parts for little odds & ends, worked out a deal on parts. Roll over car (no front shaft yet so just backed up on it, hopefully have front shaft this weekend).

Added an MBRP "straight" thru muffler ($30) & made exhaust tip from old pipe.

Fabbed up a light bracket for "42" high lights DOT & SAE approved lamps (reason added was b/c I've noticed my regular lights kinda illuminate the whole inside cab of midsized cars). High/Low beams work great. I can kill regular lights & just run these while in traffic & its removable.

Had my old rear brake set up off my Hayabusa laying around & thought I might as well make a parking/pinion brake. Had Mud make me a disc & found handle at AAA, its off a Mini Cooper.

Got to thinking I'm gonna need some tierod protection so bent up some 1 3/4" .180 wall tube (TheBeast & my buddy Kevin gave me a hand also). Gotta add two more sections inside the main piece I've already bent.

Well, when I was at DPG (first shack down run) I noticed why I need some lockers. Lotta going no where when it should have went with ease. Definitely not b/c lack of torque. So I ordered a Grizzly locker (1 year warranty from Yukon & lifetime from Randys R&P).

Since I'm one armed now (due to shoulder surgery) my buddy helped me install this one in the rear axle. Only took 2hrs. Was only able to take one pic of install due to helping out.

Used cotter pins instead of safety wire for carrier, but did safety wire the carrier bearing retainer bolts. Should have front locker in within a month. Also working on some Ouverson manual hubs.
