Nice vinyl on the hood!

"You ARE My Crumple Zone" :D

I recognized it as one of Brents (mbalbritton)/Crazy8 Graphics designs from years ago... had one on the bumper of the Moss in an attempt to thwart the multitudes of idiots (ALL driving MBs, Lexus, Cadillacs, etc) that wanted to play chicken when driving thru town!

I can not take credit for the vinyl. I believe I bought that hood from Yager awhile back. I do appreciate now knowing where to get some more. I was gonna try to google for them honestly. I think the saying fits my rig pretty well.

Had to modify my PS res hose so it wouldn't crimp
ai224.photobucket.com_albums_dd65_altoids1993_CIMG0360.jpg

Got PS res mounted (almost looks like it was meant to be there, pay no attention to red paint)

Any updates on this?

Making progress. Had to change filter mod out for ARE filter & add 3' wire (x16 wires) for IDM relocation to under dash due to not enough room under hood. Redo mount for ABS on driver front & figure out how I wanna mount grille. Changed thermostat & added new upper radiator hose outlet & (new) old style upper hose so air filter would have room. Should have hubs off & milled down by weekend for disc's, hopefully (its hot as balls in shop).

Ah, you likee da "suicide" fenders®. Thanks.
Finally got fenders, all under hood components & grille secure & in place (until body work time). Had to move grille out about 5 inches due to intercooler.

ai224.photobucket.com_albums_dd65_altoids1993_CIMG0380.jpg

Used a hood latch from a HUMVEE for main hood latch (along with two OEM TJ style hood latches, add later). The hood & grille are one piece now. With hood/grille & fenders all being able to swing away from engine mods will be alot easier down the road.

Monster Toyota Truck

You are really motivating me to get back to working on my mega truck! Your rig is really starting to come together now, nice!

Yeah, it wears ya down after awhile. But I gotta keep on digging, because it's not gonna build itself. Now get back to working on your rig. I seem to recall in your build thread some what of a friendly challenge to me & up-n-over.

Toyota Monster truck

Now I just need to convince the wife to let me get back to work on my truck. I plan to start back on it next weekend, hopefully. Keep up the good work! George

I like the build, but I have a question about the coilover mounts. What is the reasoning behind the shape of the lower mounts? Is it purely cosmetic, needed to clear the link mounts? It just seems like the entire weight of the vehicle is going to be coming straight down, but the offset mount is going to transfer the weight to the welds.
ai224.photobucket.com_albums_dd65_altoids1993_CIMG0429.jpg

Most people use those on a steering axle, so they can mount the coilovers out over the knuckle. Not sure why he used them here, but it has been done plenty(with lots of questions asked every time i see it).
