***RELEASE THE KRAKEN***

Planning to grudge pull and hit the mud pits and hit the trails?

Only thing I can think is its gonna be hard to fit through the trails too terribly well. High center of gravity also is a bit scary but I can't really tell how wide the stance is, so it could be fine.

You sir will get a handshake and a beer if ever we meet, but if this ends up being a street queen... Well I will just be disapointed.

Is this thing parked on the pile yet?
I have been to the shop a couple of times to see this jeep first hand. I have to say when it first showed up I thought it looked rediculous. With the huge tires you could not see the leaf springs. It looked like the body just hovered over the tires. Now with the links on it and everything together it looks pretty awsome. Pics really dont do it justice.
Nice build Chris. Once again another impressive project from the Mars Fab shop.
X2:beer:

maybe I missed it but what color are you going with on the body?
Cant wait to see this thing in its final state and out of the project mode.

MIL Spec non-reflective black (flat black).

He put it at that height because that's where I wanted it to ride. Tires, flex, rock crawling, mud pit runs & grudge pulling all were in my decision for height. But you are correct in it being really tall & around 8 1/2 feet wide. It's a different breed of crawler.

Roll some Coal, Spool it up, and launch it over Obstacles/Rocks, throu the Mud, and Drag anyone you hook to :smokin:

I didn't realize it till I just saw the pics and it dawned on me - but sir, you have pretty much created yourself a Mega truck . . . This I like, keep an eye out for you some tall skinny Vtreads for Mud Racing and Some 35ish inch tall drag slicks for pulling :driver:

Well after we got the steering bled. We cranked it up and cycled the steering to see if everything worked right only to blow a line apart and have to start all over again. Unfortunately I had used a wrong fitting on one of the lines to the cylinder :shaking: An hour later we were back in business and driving it around the shop. The coil ovvers seem to do pretty I can only imagine how it'll be once they're all dialed in. It's still got open diffs and np front shaft yet so we didn't really get to flex it out yet but that should be soon. For a height comparison the guys in standing next to it are 6'1" and 6'2".

Chris did a great job on suspension & steering (far exceded my expectations). Now I gotta get to work finishing it up. Wanna test the flex out.

Chris is the "guru" responsible for suspension & steering. My part is all the other stuff. But if ya win I'll help ya out man or even if ya don't win. It's all about helping each other out & enjoying our off road sport.

Theres a chance it might appear at the next Meet and Greet. Depends if it is done or not.

i know i thought i saw this on the thread about it maybe coming. man i hope so!

Working on priming all the suspension work Chris did now. Then painting & probably slapping some 3M Premium undercoat on it then "I say good day" to suspension work. Then gotta pull PS pump pulley back off & put new straight one on. Sunday or Monday (off all week) take hubs off to get milled for F700 disc & fab up brake brackets from some 5/16 plate. Tuesday pic up rear driveshaft from Oliver's & install. Install radiator & intercooler (ones in now have cracked tank on radiator & intercooler's gonna get TIG'd up, it has aluminum end tanks so it's better than the stand by one I'm putting in to get by). Try to get front fenders on also. Gonna try my best to be at "Meet & Greet" 21st.

Sounds good, really can't wait to see The Kraken, beast name.
