Its a single ended 8" ram from PSC that I still need to mount. I need to cycle the steering and see where I want it to be. Hopefully that will be dont tomorrow along with some shock hoops on all four corners.

Yeah, I sent my box to PSC & they tapped & rebuilt inside plus up'd the pressure. Got the 2x8 ram, mounting hardware & hoses (had to get an extra 5' of power steering hose from CV products b/c it's so high).

Maybe its just the angle of the picture but the panhard bar and drag link look to be at a pretty steep angle to me.. (If this pic is at ride height)

Thats maybe two inches above ride height. Yea they're at a pretty good angle unfortunately. I thought about running a drop pitman arm to get the drag link a little flatter but for the panhard to be brought down on the frame side or up on the axle side to match it, I would have this huge bulky bracket that looked like crap. Even with the angle its at now there is still plenty of movement in the heims for the steering. The only real drawback will be having some yaw when you hit bumps in the road.

May take alittle practice.? Chris is pretty good running a nice bead, IMHO.

She sits under her own weight!!! :driver: All that's left now is to bleed the steering and I'm done with my part. And for those of you wondering, the shock hoops will be tied into the cage when it's built....

Should leave it that color, it ads character. Once its all prettied up you'll feel bad about rolling it :)

Looks amazing, cant believe how freaking huge it is.

pretty damn nasty...:huggy:

btw, thanks again for the repair work on the 40. Just cut the block to make sure it was road worthy . Smooth as can be.:driver:

Chris, not that I am questioning your skills, But why is the ride height so high? Is it due to the large tires?
Just looks really tall, Just curious to why?
He put it at that height because that's where I wanted it to ride. Tires, flex, rock crawling, mud pit runs & grudge pulling all were in my decision for height. But you are correct in it being really tall & around 8 1/2 feet wide. It's a different breed of crawler.

Nah, just MIL spec black non-reflective (flat black).

This thing is bad ass!!!! Awesome work Chris... You'll have my yota by first of the year for 4 link set up...:beer:

I definitely thought it was way to high when I took on this project, but I thought it would still be fun to build. As I've worked on it and seen it go together I must say it IS really cool and wheather it does end up being a wheeler or a street queen It'll be the biggest and most crowd drawing where ever it goes. Paul has spared no expense in building it. He used a lot of really good quality parts that will really stand out when it's done. If your ever in the area you should definitely come check it out in person to do it real justice.

Is this thing parked on the pile yet?

I have been to the shop a couple of times to see this jeep first hand. I have to say when it first showed up I thought it looked rediculous. With the huge tires you could not see the leaf springs. It looked like the body just hovered over the tires. Now with the links on it and everything together it looks pretty awsome. Pics really dont do it justice.

Nice build Chris. Once again another impressive project from the Mars Fab shop.
