Reptar Build

Of course they want you to buy the JK specific tank. 05-06 have the same fuel pump mounting and EVAP connections. You literally just have to extend the wiring to ply in a JK or 05/06 TJ/LJ fuel pump. When I was stationed in Cali I caught flak from a dude from Gen right for doing a TJ tank swap Bc I didn't use their parts. Tony is a good dude but some of his customer service guys can be dicks and really push their parts. The TJ/LJ tanks do fit if you're willing to rework some of the brackets. If you own a welder it's not hard. Hell im using a Kelby skid plate on my TJ tank swap that I just modified the front mounting flange and the spring crossmember above the rear axle. You're getting info from someone who has already done the TJ tank swap. I know you're not running a 60 out back but that's supposed to represent a 1 ton axle is what I was getting at. Jeep speed shop also did a build using a 05-06 TJ tank and factory EVAP lines. They did 6"
Front stretch and a 2" rear stretch with a factory tank and their own skid.

I've already talked to 2 different shops that do TJ tanks into JKs and said that they won't work with a 8" stretch and barely works with a 6". And I'm not going to connect the EVAP stuff, I already know a way to help keep the dash happy without it lol.

Picked up a set of used TrailReady beadlocks. Now to get them cleaned up and ready for paint.

Got my Barnes4wd front 3 link kit and double triangulated 4 link kit for the rear in. Also have a Motobilt fuel cell I need to get installed. Then all I need is to order some 2" tubing and some tires and the Jeep will be ready for the axle swap.

Tires showed up today. Now to get my wheels back from powder coating so I can get them mounted and balanced.

Just an update since its been almost 4 years lol. Jeep is now getting a rear Detroit locker put in in place of the ARB. I swapped in a Rubicon transfer case thats made it way better on the trails. Its also running upper and lower ball joint deletes and also has full hydro now and custom front bumper.
