About time I made a thread for all the stuff I do in my shop. Full disclosure, I'm not a full time shop. I work a full time job as a Manufacturing Engineer, along with being married and have a 4 yr. Yes I hate sleep apparently. I've always wanted to run a shop and finally decided last year I needed to start making moves to see if I could make this work and keep this boat a float. So far it's been going well :D

Shop started as K^2 since it was myself and @adamk just trying to make some play money to support the boat on wheels called a Jeep. From there it evolved into forming the LLC on my own along with all the other stuff that goes with running a business that nobody really tells you about.

The first OG fool to let us work on his junk was @Joe J. Sure yall have seen his build thread but his Jeep really go the momentum rolling. Tons, re-gear, 3 link front, 4 ink rear. Essentially a basic one ton TJ, thing worked really well. Helps that Joe is a good driver too.

Dually Swap for @BigClay Looks a lot better now with the bed liner on the rockers. Don't have a pic though.

@D2320M CJ thing we call Yolonda. Did the front 4 link, full hydro, mounted the XP's in the front and back, replaced a C on a Dana 60 housing and did a good bit of cage rework to make it easier to get in and out of and lower the seats so normal people could drive it. Was a lot of first's on this build and learned a lot more than I thought I would.

I’m truly impressed with your work and you’re like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the world of off-road vehicles and there components! You’re the person I call when I got any questions about my build and I’m always grateful for the help/info!

And it takes a lot of balls to open your own shop and run a business.

Mounting beadlocks is always fun.

I’m truly impressed with your work and you’re like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the world of off-road vehicles and there components! You’re the person I call when I got any questions about my build and I’m always grateful for the help/info!

And it takes a lot of balls to open your own shop and run a business.

Thanks Nakoma, I wouldn't be where I'm at know if it weren't for the group of friends I have.

Looks like some nice builds in here.... except that xj. Shame on you for destroying that...... ;)

That XJ was tired but went on to donate parts to at least 5-6 of rigs I know of.

Bought me a new welding helmet yesterday, no clue how I made it this far without a nicer helmet. This thing blew me away with clarity and comfort. Plus it just looks cool in a Halo way. Plus I needed it for the AHP 201XD Tig I ordered the other day. Last time I tig'd with my old helmet I got flashed at low amps which is not cool.

Few action shots I've grabbed over the past year or so.

And added brace on the bottom. Crazy how thin the metal is on these things.

I cut the cancer out of my rear fenders up to the lines I wanted, and Chris rebuilt the inner fenders. Not sure he wants to do this again but turned out great.

I'd do a set again but I'll use 18 ga or 20 ga rather than 16 ga. Plus I may have a few more metal working tools by that time. Need a 120v welder for stuff like that too, that or some .023 wire.

To see what you've done and how you've grown from the "let's goof off and build something" days to now is nothing less than impressive. You've really transformed that shop and your skills over the past 3 years. I'm very happy to say that I was a part of it at the beginning but there is no way I could churn out the work you do. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to some TIG lessons once your machine is up and running

I'll be happy when one of your vehicles is in my shop :D Then you can look at my work daily.

I was actually looking for that quote again the other day. Never thought I’d see the day where I said tons, gears (maybe coilovers) are cheaper than the current hobby that takes all my time.

You just let me know when and I'll swing down and we can talk about which direction you go.

Stop shootin' all that money away.....you gotta stay strapped or get clapped.....so keep the ammo you've GOT and save money
