Samson Rd/Richland Rd

I've been wanting to go up there for a while now so since it was nice weather today I rode my XR up there. It was a good time it was my first time up going up there and really want to take my jeep now. The pic doesn't do justice to how muddy I got it

I saw the photos posted over on the past rides forum and I must say I am intrigued by what I saw.How long did ya'll ride and what is the distance of the roads?

We got out there around 10am, about half of us rode out to leave at about 230pm and it was a good 15 minute ride out. We didn't ride the same trail twice except to backtrack to get back out of an area. Some of the "playground" areas are one way in, one way out. It was nice up there, you definitely want to go out with some locals the first couple times to get the feel of the place.

yea, lookin new places to go and combine different things to make the trip worth while. It's a really long drive just for a few hours but if I can work out maybe a drive up the BRP too, then it will fill the day.

From Goldsboro it's definitely too far to drive. I wouldn't want to drive much farther than I did to get there, and I'm about an hour and a half away. I wouldn't drive past Uwharrie to go to Richland Rd like you would have to do, but it did make for a nice day trip.

It was great to meet everyone Saturday. It was a nice ride & a lot rougher than I had expected. Thanks to all that showed!

Good to meet you too Ryan. Thanks for showing me where not to go!
What were you in?

Sent from my microwave using a teleportation device.
He was in the white XJ.

Glad you boys had a good time and it was great to meet some new faces and show them around our local trail that we ride regularly. Hope to have my cage finished and be in the mix next time but it was fun to go and just ride with someone else for a change!
