Showing their true colors

I agree with this. I've personally chased, caught and charged a felon with possession by felon. He was already being questioned in possible murder cases around Charlotte. Anyway, he dumped a gun out the window when he stopped. Well, since the Mecklenburg county da's office plays let's make a deal, he was out in no time and was not given any prison term. It didn't even come to trial. Two years later he was on the news for murdering two people. In my opinion, any person that commits a crime with a weapon should get double the sentence and with mandatory time. This may not stop new people committing crimes, but it would keep repeat offenders out of civilization.
Gun control is not and never will be useful for crime/murder prevention. If all the guns magically vanished today knives, sharp sticks or blunt objects would become the weapons of choice for armed criminals. Removing all guns would not make violent criminals magically become peaceful citizens.
Ba zing!

I will catch :poop: for this. But since i am old and don't care what folks think about me, it's easy.
Evil people are out there,period.
Any new law, regulation, statute, wtf ever will not prevent a crime.
A law abiding citizen is ready to defend their self. A thug is a thug.
Nothing says hello like a 230 gr jhp to the chest.
Flame away!
Later,Paul...

I think if you are unanimously convicted of a heinous crime with video or photo evidence (rape, murder)

ok so I'm just being an asshole - but I'm pretty sure in most if not all states, those heinous crimes require a unanimous vote for conviction in the first place... that whole "must be guilty beyond a shadow of doubt" thing.

Our government is so full of shit these days .They always got some big dumbass idea to reinvent the wheel when in reality are their doing is stirring up a pot of shit and making things harder for everyone . You can't fix stupid with laws, the world is full of idiots and always will be no matter what they do! Guns are not the problem , the problem is people that make fk'd up decisions. Their the ones that should be punished not everyone.

the more I think about it I wonder what exec order our idiot pres just passed behind closed doors while we all argue about this since it is front page news?

This is just another way for them to continue the erosion of our freedoms. Do not comply, I know I will not. If you give a little they will take it all.

Fuck them.

Meanwhile here in god ol TN.

Back on subject I dont see how this will work in states that do not require gun registration. In TN you do not have to register a weapon,I can buy a new handgun,do the background check and be on my way in about 20 mins. Now granted Im sure they(the gun dealer) has to show where that gun went if audited but theres no goin to the sheriff and registering a handgun.

Exactly. You did your job to try to get him off the street, but "the system" failed. There are some people on this planet that exist only to make lawyers rich and they will keep doing what they want because they get away with it. Personally, fear of prison is enough to keep me honest. If they have high-speed internet in prison perhaps I'll turn to a life of crime, but until then....
