It was at my girlfriend's brother's house. It's an old pump house he turned into a cooker. Pretty sweet. Not sure if it's big enough to cook a hog on, but he said he's down to try it one day. I think he just enjoys grilling and drinking beer all day lol.

Well, it's not a grill but, I've been loving my new griddle. I now fancy myself a Japanese chef.

Although this is a breakfast for supper picture, my hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, peppers/onions/zucchini/noodles/fried rice game is very strong! I'll try to remember to snap a pic of that stuff next time.

Not shown in this pic. are the omelets and buttermilk pancakes, which were quite tasty.

Had a hankering for some German food. I like to add onion to the sauerkraut and sauté with butter, some seasonings, touch of mustard. Separate was some Brussel sprouts, onion, bits of Kielbasa, sautéd in butter again. Red cabbage sautéd again. There’s a theme here... Two kinds of brats, some small potatoes that got grilled and then smashed flat to serve. Beer, mustard and cigars after!

:)

Wings marinading in some pickle juice for a couple hours. About to get some dry rub sprinkled on and worked over on the BGE

I hit the 'like' button..but what I meant was..

I like chicken and I like pickles. I even sip on some pickle juice from time to time.

But I've never heard of this. I'd like to taste it.

It's a crowd pleaser! Don't marinade for much over a couple hours or the pickle flavor takes over too much.

If youve had chickfila, you have tried a version of it... they use pickle juice with their chicken.

Last night: sliced pork tenderloin in Wateree swamp. The neat thing about a Rome is that it cooks in smaller sandwich size portions. Of course I forgot to bring bread. Who cares....it was delicious anyways.

Too hot for grilling. Mine will stay covered up until at least mid September.
