Suspicious acting guys at Uwharrie today

How much litter is on the trails?

I don't make it to URE as often as I like to but every time I go it's very easy to pick up trash everywhere I stop. It might be 1 can or it could be 20 at a time but wherever I stop for a break I pick up what's there. My dumb a$$ never brings a trash bag so I just chuck it into the back of the Jeep till I get home. I have gotten dogs from you every time i've been this year so I will deff keep your free trash bags in mind for the future.

Please do just enough, they're free and we all thankyou for doing so. The little baags would be cheap and they are standard size(walmart, grocery stores etc) and most are all printed with something. I think they call them "T shirt" bags. Whatta u think?

Found bio-degradeable bags for $70.00 for 1,000 thats .07 cents apeice and they go away when exposed to weather!

But where does the trash inside the bag go? Nothing against the idea, just seems kinda weird

Basically, this comes down to the Forest Service and their inability to do ANYTHING to help collect the trash. These Forest Service employees are rarely the sharpest tool in their shed, and honestly only work with the service because its an easy job. This is just like the Tellico shut down, its really the Forest Service's fault but they are too lazy to to stuff about it.

I think what would be the best option is to collect the trash, and constantly harass the FS and our congress people about litterers (SP) and people who disobey the trail rules..

My dad always sends the plates of litterer's into the state. Whether that gets anything done is up to debate, but one always has to try!

mornin macdaddy, IF the bags gets dropped on the trail or lost, they disapear with TIME. Not when you fill them up. As for the FS, I think they do a hellova job, Ypu have that kinda croud in YOUR backyard all weekend and every weekend and see what your yard looks like!

It would be littered with bodies...

Go back tomorrow and just start taking pictures of them. Whey they start whining the ask what the heck the clipboards are for!?

Or just get your own clipboard and follow them around.

hahaha how funny would that be, walking around with a clip board and everytime they do something just say " hmmm" and write something down lol

"but where does the trash inside the bag go" WTF does that mean? wheather or not the fs does their job don't change the fact that we should do ours.further more picking up our trash should not be their job since there should be no trash in the first place.

We've always put bagged trash in the DUMPSTER sitting in front of the Flintlock range or the smaller container at ACG... which is likely hauled to a landfill just like the trash generated at the Outpost or neighboring houses.

Does that answer your question?
