that it is. Even with everything labeled. I will say that this is my first go at wiring anything. SO going slow and double checking everything has probably made it a lot longer process. But everything I have checked and tested has worked. So patience and a willingness to ask for help is paying off.
Made what feels like a lot of progress today. Lights are working from the switches. Horn works from the switch. Found a few issues that we're sorting out. Looks scary but its working out.
Everything works as far as the lights and fan and other things go. Some stuff like the rock lights and seat heaters are just waiting for the power outs to be connected. I'm praying I don't have to pull the dash again.
Throttle cable should be here this week. Maybe get the Carb mounted next weekend
Motor rolled over last night. Doesn't sound like much but it felt pretty good. Lots of cleaning up on the wiring. Bolted on the Carb and dropped the air cleaner on. Everything clears the hood thankfully. Big thanks to csudman for all the help last night.
Today I'm going to try to get the throttle cable in. I need to find a bracket to hold it. Not sure how successful its going to be.
Its amazing what a few hours a night will do! I got the fuel lines run. Carb springs on and working correctly. Throttle cable is also installed. Need to modify the gas pedal.
Last night I rolled the motor over again. This weekend I am hoping to add fuel and see if it will start. Found a couple of issues I made when wiring. Didn't wire in the tach. So as of right now it won't be lighting up when the lights are on. Not a big deal but a small mistake. Also not sure if my volt gauge is goign to work correctly. But again it can be fixed in due time.
Once it starts and I know it is good. I'll hook back up the shifter and start to play with that. Lots of adjusting to do there. Also hoping to start on the brakes this weekend.
Any info on what to run for this would be a help. Running disk in the front and drums in the back. One ton stuff. Right now I have a CJ master with booster. THinking the E350 master with appropriate lines should work. Would also like to put in a line lock. We'll see...
That ramen is buying th ematerial to build the cage. I will get disks eventually. Just want it rolling. I am assuming there will be a lot of tweaks that will need to be sorted out.
also you fail at answering your phone. I was in your area last weekend and figured you coulda used an extra set of hands to put your jungle gym together...
Okay. I don't know if everyone here is ready to see that. And set a date to wake board.
An actual up date on this. I started making a new mount for the power steering pump and started on the brake lines. Using a E350 master and need to figure out the routing of the hard lines. Also discovered that Dodge 1ton brakes use a different soft line then the chevy 1ton stuff. I am thinking I need to just order the soft lines for a lifted early 80's 1ton dodge.
The radiator I got leaks out of the fins. I need to get that fixed.
Also need to break down and buy a battery to actually try to start it. I was using a battery with like 790 CCA and it wasn't turning it over fast enough to start it. Even putting the booster pack on it. I should actually be working on this, but the lake has been calling my name and I spent way to much on a new wakeboard.
so if any one wants to trade for something I could be interested...
