Also tried to start it. Some small issue with it wanting to backfire. So I think I need to do an exhaust and try again. Over all very happy with the progress

Hoping to start this pig this weekend... or finish mounting the seats. or look at it and sit in the seat making motor noises while drinking a cold beverage.

Cage is done. Jeep is back in Statesville. Hopefully making some progress on it and finishing it up. I hate painting and am horrible at so my paint work won't do the cage justice

Brake lines should be done in a couple of weeks. Hopefully figuring out the fuel or lack of fuel issue this week.

Messed with is some more tonight. I think I need to prime the fuel pump. Wasn't ready to do that tonight. Also had a couple of weird wiring/ lighting things going on tonight well I was messing with some other things. The cage is painted though.

I think I am over working on it. I found myself sitting in it drinking a beverage and making motor noises over being productive.

Hopefully putting brake lines on this thing over the weekend.

I need help. I can't figure out why it won't start. I think its something in the wiring. It just doesn't turn over quick enough. I pulled the plugs. Rolled it over by hand. Smooth and free. Can see fuel moving.

It has a brand new interstate battery. I pulled the starter and had it checked.

Checked the grounds.

Double and triple checked the plug order.
Anyone have ideas. I'm ready to burn it down.

Or put a ls motor in it and find an old dodge something and put this in it....

Ls is a last resort....

What is this nonsense I hear of you looking at ECORS rules? Bad Lerk Bad dog!

On a helpful note...Are you using a push button start or the regular key/tumbler? If its a button make sure that it hasnt fried. Had one a while back that shorted once and from then on out wouldnt start the truck. It would do what youre saying but as soon as I put in a new switch it fired right up. Dont ask why or how...shit just worked haha.

Running the factory ignition off the column. I do have a NASCAR approved batter kill switch...

Im going to say wiring. Is it a new carb? Primed the fuel system? Pour fresh gas down the inline fuel pump and fill the lines up. Make sure that the fuel line is actually pulling fuel and not sucking air.

emphasis on fresh gas.

Also, i bet your timing is WAY WAY WAY out which could cause it to not run.

Timing seems okay. I had number 1 off one hole on the distributor. Need to charge the battery.

Sam I took the time for fresh fuel. Primed the system and pulled the plugs rolling it over by hand. Its getting fuel now.

Slowly narrowing it down.

On a positive note all the hard lines are done. Need to order the flex line for the rear.

Brake lines are finished. Need to check the calipers and the drums in the rear. Then bleed the master.... followed by seeing if any of leaks...

gave up trying to start it. Battery is on the charger.

Also I need to order a new yoke for the D70. 1350. I have a 1350 yoke for the front I need to swap in.

Over all this is getting closer.

Big items left to handle are the drive shafts and the exhaust.

Over working this thing. So far today... I broke a bleeder off in the caliper. Still won't start. Battery is charged. I pulled the rear shafts and they looked good. Need to get the front yoke off. Still need to order a rear yoke.

Anyone want to finish this stupid thing?

Having a hard time finding the correct calipers for the front axle. There are a few choices and I've struck out on them so far. Once the calipers show up I think I am going to start putting fluid in it and bleeding the brakes. This is probably going to suck.

Also hoping to measure for drive shafts and plans for the exhaust.

I did sit in it this weekend. Does that cound as working on it?
